Many of the UK’s biggest police forces are taking little or no action against cyclists breaking traffic laws, a Good Morning Britain investigation has found.
Anette Collins was walking across a zebra crossing when she was left injured after she was hit by a cyclist, who rode away from the scene.
The National Police Chiefs’ Council said: ‘We must all take responsibility for keeping everyone safe on our roads and any behaviour which puts other road users at risk is unacceptable. Police forces are operationally independent and decisions around enforcement are at the discretion of local teams.’
