I think the software industry has changed in the following way: Anybody can build anything now, so what matters a lot more now is that you are the kind of person that wants to _actualize_ something. That whatever you have a thing you want to bring into the world, you're actively trying to make it happen.

Prediction: as more software development work moves towards workflows/factories, there will be nostalgia about "hand prompting", just like there has been for hand coding. Hand prompting was around for like 2 years.
