Russell Brand has been Assanged. But perhaps they don't realize they've also made a martyr of him. When you imprison someone for speech, you are acknowledging that speech is powerful. In the long run, it will come back to bite.

Sustainability is like bulimia, only you binge in private and purge in public.

Pandemoranda (Pandemic Memoranda): 12/26/21: Fauci: “When you make vaccination a requirement, that’s another incentive to get more people vaccinated. If you want to do that with domestic flights, I think that’s something that seriously should be considered.” Yeah, that makes sense. Coercion is definitely an "incentive." And even though I'm vaccinated and I'm not quite sure how masked unvaccinated people pose a grave threat to me, you know, I just go with whatever Dr. Fauci says. Because he's been doing a stellar job so far. Only 817,000 people dead, endless shots and boosters getting pushed out and a new variant running rampant. 12/27/21: Fauci: "Right now I don't think people should expect that we're gonna have a requirement in domestic flights for people to be vaccinated. ... I doubt if we're gonna see something like that in the reasonably forseeable future." People, there's nobody driving this short bus.

Why don't they just ask the AI to figure out how to keep AI from destroying humanity?

I didn't even have to unmute. The tortoise-shell glasses, the mussed bed hair, the benign baby face, the L.L. Bean Donegal sweater, thrown over mismatched shirt with studied carelessness - who has time to uncrumple your collar when you're saving the world from extinction! Believe the Chickens!

Despite recent mass shooting, fatal stabbing, etc. downtown, Austin Pride theme this year is angry confrontation, chaos, tear gas, violent protests and rioting, with some random drag queens thrown in to make it all sparkle. Viva la Tontería!

I cannot understate the importance of microaggressions because 1,000 of them make a milliaggression and 1,000,000 of them equal one aggression.

Lately I've become addicted to police body cam videos where drunk people at airports turn belligerent and abusive, refuse to get off the plane when asked, make everybody else deplane so law enforcement can drag them off kicking and screaming, and taunt, spit on and wrestle with law enforcement despite being treated with infinite patience and courtesy. It's making me wonder whether people are becoming *too* arrogant and unrestrained in their behavior as a result of more subdued, inhibited police policies (post George Floyd), and whether it actually would be better if the police *were* more fascist. I find myself wondering if everyone might be better off if people *did* know generally that if they behaved that way they'd get taken into a room and get the shit kicked out of them. This feels very bizarre, because when I was a typical soft-hearted liberal, I always found violence abhorrent and was susceptible to the leftist belief that all police are secretly thugs, which I know is not true. What is happening to me lol

Proud to be one of the 941,746 signers of the Great Barrington Declaration. When I began expressing dissenting views about the lockdowns, etc. on Facebook - even though I tried to do it in a lighthearted, satirical way - the social network I had developed carefully for over a decade evaporated almost overnight. It was shocking. But you learn that the people who stay are the ones who matter.
