I don't know which employer needs to hear this, but it's not your employees' responsibility to work twice as hard just because you've decided not to hire enough people to get the job done

Fred Armisen breaks down the fascinating evolution of conversational accents and speech patterns decade by decade on The Tonight Show. "I've been working on some impressions of accents through the decades" 1900s: "the manufacturer and the farmer, people thought it was very British, but it's actually very Dutch and German" 1920s: "They start getting very aware of the microphone" 1950s: "It starts to flatten out a little bit. I'd like to on a Friday night, I'd like to read a book on a Friday night" 1960s: "Diverges a little bit where there's an official sort of news hour... and then the sort of people in interviews looked like they were in shock" 1970s: "There's a whisper to it. There's a sort of confusion as to what's going on, there's a whisper" 1990s: "Very kind of laid back, wow, the nineties laid back, yeah, very sarcastic and ironic, wow" 2000s: "You start to hear the vocal fry... guys are in a meeting and they can sort of hear that throughout when they're talking on a conference call"

Ball wise ... in-game style ... is Kevin Garnett the NBA's version of Ray Lewis?

Anyone seen the Hulu film “Anniversary”? Probably a bit too close to home as the midterms are next week but, nevertheless … harrowing stuff that feels like a not-too-distant reality if we’re not vigilant.

This year, the film industry put up films like the equivalent to what the music industry did with albums in ‘96. It’s probably one of their best years on record. You got something for everybody...Obsession, Michael, Odyssey, Dune 3, Brand New Day, Doomsday.. Crazy work, 2026.

Cue the band up … “HEY … AGGIES….” But yeah, game was a tough watch. Hope we can heel up over the bye week.

I hate how our defense keeps letting other QBs get their mojo back when they play us. So much cushion that everything is there underneath … every time. Smh #BamaD

Positively INCREDIBLE cover of “If You Leave Me Now” from #Clayface. Big s/o to Jasmine Jethwa & Volker Bartelmann for this one. It’s beautiful and haunting and uneasy and dope. Just amazing stuff: youtu.be/gu88-_BGEZw?is=3Jvt…

I hope more Bama fans watch the #Saban doc on ESPN to remember how difficult it was when Saban first started the job ... AND to remind folk of how impatient and unreasonable they were, and how that could've ended the dynasty before it ever started.

Uhhhhhh ...... #Bama, yall gonna make that call to Mike Locksley to help this offense or...........

One thing about "You Can See Everything" is ...... it might be the closest thing that you'll ever get to seeing White folk yell at the screen the way that Black folk do. Needless to say, it was a pretty awesome theater experience.

Breaking: #Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is out for Sunday due to a superficial blood clot. Full statement from the #Eagles on QB Jalen Hurts:   “On Thursday, October 8th, Jalen visited the training room after practice requesting treatment for his calf. He informed the medical staff he had been cleated during the Rams game on October 4th. This was his first treatment session for the calf injury following the game, after having practiced in full both Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, Jalen received treatment, practiced in full, and was added to the practice report.   “Out of an abundance of caution, an ultrasound was performed on Saturday following the team’s flight to London and walkthrough. The ultrasound revealed a superficial blood clot. Our medical staff and doctors in London reviewed the results and concluded that activity and mobility were important and that Jalen could safely play. Doctors recommended a follow-up ultrasound within 72 hours of the game and the return flight to Philadelphia.    “Jalen played without limitation in the game Sunday, received treatment on Monday and Tuesday, and practiced in full on Wednesday, as reflected in the practice report. Throughout our time in London and this week, we have remained in communication with the league office regarding the matter.     "On Wednesday night, a follow-up ultrasound revealed movement in the small blood clot. Jalen will be out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers as we determine the appropriate course of treatment. His health and safety are our highest priority.”
