The fastest route to ending the killing is extending Starshield’s reach several hundred kilometers into Russia, to pressure Vladimir Putin and eliminate more of his capacity to launch strikes on Ukraine. wsj.com/opinion/elon-musk-st… via @WSJopinion

Since 1775, courage has been our compass—not the absence of fear, but the relentless drive to move forward when the path is unknown.

The @deptofwar’s Office of Strategic Capital (OSC) announced today a $150 million conditional loan commitment with @stoke_space, a U.S.-based space launch company developing fully reusable rockets, to provide low-cost, high-cadence access to orbit. The proposed loan from OSC, alongside private capital, would support the buildout of the company’s second launchpad at its existing launch complex at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The OSC commitment to Stoke Space more broadly supports the expansion of U.S. launch capacity, which is required to meet the rising demand for commercial and national security space launch by the United States Space Force. Space launch is a designated critical technology category that is vital to national security and economic resilience.

Here is a good video summary of the recent written pieces by @RenaNetjes a Dutch investigator working in Syria on the Austin Tice story. Video helps convey the timing and sequencing of events.
New! Podcast episode 3: "The Villa"
In this episode, we connect the dots leading straight to a specific villa in the Syrian coastal area. Since this investigation is complex, we’re breaking down everything we knew so far in the search for Austin Tice.

Three countries. Three Corsairs. A shared vision for the future of maritime autonomy.
Proud to have participated in Maritime Big Play Pacific, proving the concept for the U.S., UK, and Australia that autonomous capabilities can support allied operations.
Across multiple vignettes, Corsair showed what fully autonomous operations look like in practice: Pier resupply, with portions of the mission executed under denied-communications conditions
Trilateral autonomous Sense, decide, effect, operating as part of a heterogeneous fleet of uncrewed surface vessels with uncrewed air vehicle support Seamless command and control via Saronic's Echelon integrated into the Common Control System (CCS)
Grateful to the UK Royal Navy for providing the opportunity to be a part of this important event.
Multiple missions, one autonomous platform, ready to deliver on the challenges of today and tomorrow.
Today, we honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who are deployed around the world defending our nation and protecting our freedoms. We are grateful to the families who make sacrifices here at home while their loved ones are abroad.
To all who serve, thank you for your courage, dedication, and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

This may be the absolute worst idea I’ve heard in the second Trump term. The U.S. teaming up with China and Russia to install their puppet as SecGen?
New: Sources from three countries confirm that the Trump Administration has advocated Viktor Orbán for UN Secretary-General.
The US has encouraged Orbán to enter the race, even bringing him the initial idea of a joint U.S.-Russia-China candidacy.

After Elon Musk posted on X saying he had throttled Ukraine’s use of Starlink after it was used for offensive attacks, House Armed Services Committee member Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) says the billionaire’s ability to wield that power is “beyond disturbing to me.”
“It cannot and should not be the case that a tech oligarch, a private citizen, who has that much control over our national security, who is unaccountable, who is unelected, with zero transparency, is making life and death decisions on the battlefield in systems that our service members and our partners and allies rely upon,” he adds.

The conditions allowing for the safe return of Ms. Machado to Venezuela is the direct result of the U.S. supported reconciliation talks which has already seen hundreds of political prisoners freed and hundreds of political opposition figures return from exile.
The United States expects the freedoms of all sectors of Venezuelan politics to continue to be respected. Likewise, we expect all political actors to support these talks which represent the best chance Venezuela has had in thirty years to peacefully achieve not just a free and fair election but an enduring democracy.
