With VOLGA results coming at #ESMO26, a summary of contemporary phase III perioperative trials in muscle-invasive bladder cancer.
⚠️ Different populations and designs—avoid cross-trial comparisons. VOLGA and EV-303 importantly include surgery-alone control arms without neoadjuvant therapy.
🔑 The next challenge: identifying who truly needs adjuvant ADC therapy—and who can safely avoid it.

Why is ADC development in RCC challenging?Great overview by @YujiMiura5 highlighting 3 barriers:
Delivery: heterogeneous vasculature limits ADC penetration. Targeting: antigen heterogeneity & vascular trapping. Payload: efficacy vs toxicity
Time to rethink targets & payloads!

Everyone should listen to a @BraunMDPhD talk at least quarterly (doctor's orders!)
Fantastic talk focused on personalized cancer vaccines in RCC. Looking forward to the results of INTerpath-004!

Great talk by @BradMcG04 at the JSCO–ASCO Joint Session @official_jsco on perioperative therapy for RCC
Adjuvant therapy is evolving rapidly, but identifying who truly benefits remains a key challenge. Exciting potential for biomarkers like KIM-1!

New @jclinicalinvest study led by @BraunMDPhD @YaleCancer and super star Dr Madsen : HIF-2α inhibition with belzutifan preserves T-cell effector function in ccRCC—supporting the rationale for combining HIF-2α and PD-1 blockade without compromising T-cell activity.
Reassuring translational evidence!

Congratulations to @romeerizwan and team on this exciting work in @CD_AACR —a terrific collaboration (that includes our @DanaFarber_GU group) on spatially confined IL-12 + CAR-NK biology.
And a very pleasant surprise on the same page: seeing @BraunMDPhD, now at @YaleCancer featured as the 2026 Cancer Discovery Journal Awardee. Full-circle moment!

Personalized mRNA-based neoantigen vaccines + pembo are being tested in a number of randomised adjuvant cancer trials (included bladder and renal). The 1st positive trial (RIII in melanoma) was announced today. PCVs are logistically complex with limited monotherapy activity in advanced disease, but early IO combinations in MRD may overcome tumor microenvironment resistance. Patient selection or even vaccine generation could occur with ctDNA. @OncoAlert merck.com/news/merck-and-mod…

What better way to start Day 2 than by crossing the starting line together?
This morning, #KCRS26 attendees laced up for #RockTheRun, a fun tradition that reminds us that every step, whether on the course or in the lab, helps move #KidneyCancer research forward.
Thank you to everyone who ran, walked, volunteered, donated, and cheered us on. Together, we're making progress one step at a time.
There’s still time to donate: bit.ly/RocktheRun26
