After Google acquired my AR startup, I started thinking about the next interface, this time for AI. Text and voice work fine, just like DOS did before the Mac. But nothing’s more intuitive than face to face.
After two years of research, today we’re launching Atmee v2: a real-time avatar model that makes live video agents feel truly life-like.
• Any character from 1 image + 10s of audio
• Contextual expressions, gestures, even interacting with the environment
• Live video calls, voice only, or video generation
At its core, Atmee v2 is a video foundation model, it can render anything, but it’s built to excel at characters, which is what video models like Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 are mostly used for. In comparison:
Atmee v2
• Up to 50x faster
• 10-100x cheaper
Build tutors, sales coaches, support agents, companions, game characters, even whole living worlds. The interface after text and voice starts today.
Boom!!!
The $SHOP Shopify earnings call could not be more bullish for domain names!
Not only did they confirm the purchase of Shop.com for $100 Million, but they also confirmed that domain names are increasingly MORE important in the ai digital commerce world than ever before! Particularly in the face of agents and agentic shopping, not in-spite of them.
Here is the exact language from the earnings call:
Paul Treiber, a capital markets analyst at the Royal Bank of Canada, asked the following:
Q: Good morning. Shopify acquired shop.com this quarter for about $100 million, which is a significant sum. How do you view the coexistence of shop.com with merchant websites and other channels? Why now, especially against the backdrop of the rise of AI agents? Why is having a centralized entry point important?
Answer (Harley Finkelstein): In the brick-and-mortar retail world, it's location, location, location. We believe the same holds true for the internet—shop.com is our prime "golden address."
Think of it this way: this is a statement signaling that we're ready to take Shop in a more ambitious direction. We intend to deliberately invest in building Shop's reputation and discoverability as a destination for consumers, rather than merely as an order‑tracking tool.
We see it as a highly convenient and accessible gateway for shoppers to discover great brands and products. The switch requires no action from merchants, and Shop's web‑based shopper traffic is already growing faster than its app‑based traffic. We're simply moving from shop.app to shop.com. We consider this one of the most important addresses on the internet, and it reflects our ambitions for Shop."

Let's take a look at what the automated domain "appraisal" systems 🤡 spit out for the Shop[.]com domain name:
- GoDaddy: $1,000,000+
- Saw: $7,571,000
- Atom: $8,015,000
- Estibot: $3,670,000
Did Shopify overpay??!!?? 🤣

A month ago, it was rumored that the Shop .com domain name sold to Shopify for $100m. I mentioned that we will know soon enough, since Shopify would need to report this as a material even in their next 10Q, and that when they did, George Kirikos would surely, find it first. Now confirmed by George, $99m, freespeech.com/2026/11/03/br… . I am going to do an emergency press conference video on this soon but wow, this is big. I actually sold Shop .com in 2005, to what evolved into the current seller, Market America. This is a multi-billion dollar strategic play for Shopify (will they rebrand to Shop .com as well) and for category defining domain name assets, in general. #domains #shop

How much more valuable should the very best domain name be, compared to the "runner-up"? 🤔

"Lawyers can see their future in other parts of the economy where the elite collective has been supplanted by the elite individual. It is visible in every arena where the very best is worth much more than the runner-up; from the football player to the programmer to the rapper."
