My friends, my fellow disciples on the road of mortal life, our Father’s beautiful plan, even His “fabulous” plan, is designed to bring you home, not to keep you out. No one has built a roadblock and stationed someone there to turn you around and send you away. In fact, it is the exact opposite.
God is in relentless pursuit of you. He “wants all of His children to choose to return to Him,” and He employs every possible measure to bring you back. @PatrickKearon
Strong faith requires more than strong desire. It means daily trying, one step at a time, with prayer and scriptural learning. @OaksDallinH
We are all a work in progress. We are all at different places on the covenant path. We need to be patient with one other and, occasionally, even with ourselves. @OaksDallinH
“All around us we see evidence that many in the world are hungry for our Savior, Jesus Christ, and His teachings” @OaksDallinH
As your president, I pray for what our heavenly father wants for each of us, to be active members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, proceeding forward on the covenant path into the eternities. We need one another’s prayers. I feel the positive effect of your prayers. @OaksDallinH
“Your Heavenly Father has known you for a very long time. You, as His son or daughter, were chosen by Him to come to earth at this precise time, to be a leader in His great work on earth. You were chosen not for your bodily characteristics but for your spiritual attributes, such as bravery, courage, integrity of heart, a thirst for truth, a hunger for wisdom, and a desire to serve others.
“You developed some of these attributes premortally. Others you can develop here on earth as you persistently seek them” @NelsonRussellM
Faith in Jesus Christ frees us from uncertainty because our hope rests on His faithfulness and righteousness, not our own. @DaleGRenlund
Peace is something that is made, built and even manufactured @StevensonGaryE
Having bled at every pore, how red His raiment must have been in Gethsemane, how crimson that cloak!
No wonder, when Christ comes in power and glory, that He will come in reminding red attire (see D&C 133:48), signifying not only the winepress of wrath, but also to bring to our remembrance how He suffered for each of us in Gethsemane and on Calvary!
-Neal A. Maxwell
There is no asterisk excluding you from God’s richest blessings. If you think there is, take out a big eraser and obliterate that asterisk. You can rely on God’s promises. @DaleGRenlund
“Just as vital as what you do is who you are becoming” @UchtdorfDF
Faith takes work. Receiving revelation takes work. But “every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” God knows what will help your faith grow. Ask, and then ask again. @NelsonRussellM
Why did the temple workers cross the road?
To help the people on the other side.
@GerritWGong
What would you do if you had more faith? Think about it. Write about it. Then receive more faith by doing something that requires more faith. @NelsonRussellM
in a world of many voices, remaining connected to the True Vine is not merely desirable; it is essential to our spiritual survival.
Those who abide in Jesus Christ come to recognize and trust His voice, especially as it is spoken through those He has called to represent Him.@Ulisses__Soares
Christ can make our “Desert like the garden of the Lord” (Isaiah 51:3), but we need to seek out solitary times and spaces to provide an opportunity for this to happen. -Shayla Bott, BYU devotional
Unlike worldly fear that creates alarm and anxiety, godly fear is a source of peace, assurance, and confidence. @BednarDavidA
Jesus Christ frees us not by just opening the prison but by taking our place there. He relieves us from our chains of grief and sorrow by bearing them Himself (see Isaiah 53:4–5, 12). He does not save us from a distance. He suffers with us, in acts of “everlasting kindness” that “shall not depart from thee”
