Happy Halloween, Miami-Dade! 🎃 Enjoy the weekend’s festivities with loved ones, and stay safe: wear reflective gear, use crosswalks, & help keep our kids safe. Drivers, take extra care on neighborhood streets. Don't forget: don’t ghost this election! Vote early this weekend!

This one means the world. Today Miami-Dade County Mayor @LevineCava announced she is not just endorsing me, she is voting for me as a constituent of our district. With her in my corner, I know we will win and build the Miami all our families deserve. Let's go win this.

As families begin gathering in our synagogues and coming together for the holiest day of the Jewish year, Yom Kippur, I'm wishing you a peaceful time of reflection. G'mar Chatimah Tovah — may you be sealed for a year of health, peace, and blessing.

This November, a Republican-backed amendment will be on your ballot, and it's designed to deceive you. Amendment 3, a proposed “tax-cut”, threatens everything from public safety and emergency response to our roads, parks and libraries. Vote No on 3.

This 4th of July marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It's a milestone that calls us to honor how far we've come, and recommit to the work still ahead in building a Miami-Dade where every family can thrive. Wishing you a safe, happy 4th of July!

Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved Black Americans in Texas finally learned they were free, more than two years late. A reminder that justice doesn't always arrive on time, and that freedom must be fought for. Happy Juneteenth, Miami-Dade!

Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave everything so that we could have everything. Miami-Dade is proud to be home to one of the largest veteran communities in the nation. Their sacrifice lives in the freedom we cherish every single day.

Miami-Dade deserves fighters in Tallahassee. Proud to endorse @ShevrinJones, @Gantt4Florida, @RepChambliss, @gromeroroses, and @LitwinDiegoFL. From healthcare to housing to climate — these are the leaders who show up and deliver.

Governor DeSantis just signed into law the new congressional map designed to silence millions of Floridians — including right here in Miami-Dade. In 2010, 63% of voters passed the Fair Districts Amendment to protect against exactly this. We will defend it.

Miami-Dade stands with our Haitian community. I urge the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold Judge Reyes' ruling & maintain Haiti TPS. This is a place where everyone belongs, & I will always support people and families who are here following our laws and contributing to our community.

Today we stood with TSA employees at MIA making sure those impacted by the partial government shutdown have the support they need right now. Thank you to @nmilianorbis, @FarmShareFL , & everyone who came together to support our workers and their families with essential resources.

Liberty Square has been part of Liberty City’s story for generations, and we are writing its next chapter together. We broke ground on Phase V at Liberty Square and Liberty Square for the Elderly! That means 408 new family units and 132 new homes for seniors in Liberty City.

This week, we unveiled the future of Gate D60 at Miami International Airport. ✈️ By 2030, the 1 billion expansion D60 will add 17 new gates, larger boarding areas, and direct access to Customs for international travelers. We’re building a stronger, more modern MIA for the future.

I’m grateful for Laura Dominguez’s recognition of the work we’re doing to protect Miami-Dade’s environment. These protections and this work is essential to our quality of life and our future. I’ll continue leading with a clear focus on environmental stewardship.

I vetoed the Kelly Tractor expansion to protect sensitive wetlands and uphold Miami-Dade’s growth rules. Those wetlands play a critical role in protecting our drinking water and managing flooding. Allowing this project to move forward would have put those protections at risk.
