Mr. Vice-President, Please allow me to present a different perspective. The problem was not the Iran War. It was the cease fire. If you start a war, you need to win it and finish it – otherwise don’t start it. This war should have been over six months ago, with the Strait of Hormuz wide open and oil flowing. The second and third tiers of Iranian leadership should have been destroyed, and we should have supported the pro-western forces who could have taken leadership. We stood on the brink of a new, more peaceful Middle East - and then we blinked. We had a chance not only to deny Iran nuclear weapons, but to get rid of the world’s biggest supporter of terrorism. Instead, we had a cease fire, which was followed by months of will we or won’t we finish the job. Every day was a different message. There still is. Is the war over? Is it about to begin? No one knows. There is confusion and inconsistency. In June 2025, America was not involved. This was an Israel vs Iran issue. No one forced the United States to attack Iran then, or in February of 2026. It was a decision made by President Trump. In my opinion, it was the right decision. Once the decision was made, we should not have stopped until the regime fell. But instead, you negotiated a cease fire that didn’t last, didn’t work and left us in no man’s land, with higher prices and our troops still deployed. Our troops could have been home, the Navy returned to its bases, a peaceful regime in place , new alliances forged, and gas prices below $3.00 a gallon. No, Mr. Vice President. It’s not the war. It’s the so-called cease fire.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

Oh my
Two Senators tell me the Vice President is right that the GOP turned against the Iran war in the Senate GOP’s own polling. But they say what the VP leaves out is that the turn came after the VP negotiated a bad deal with the Iranian regime that repulsed the GOP.

I thought anti-Zionism is not antisemitism 🤔
The antisemitic vandalism targeting school buses in South Williamsburg is abhorrent. Every New Yorker — especially our children — deserves to live free of such hatred. My team is in contact with the NYPD and community leaders. We will continue to use every tool at our disposal to confront antisemitism, hold those responsible accountable and ensure that hatred has no place in our city.

MUST WATCH: El-Sayed’s pal Hasan Piker and Nick Fuentes. You really can’t tell ’em apart! On Black people: Fuentes - “I don’t wanna live around black people.” Piker - “I don’t give a f*ck what black people care about.” On America: Fuentes - “This is a godless country. I hate it.” Piker - “America deserved 9/11, dude.” Piker - “Motherf*ck the Constitution and motherf*ck this country.” On Jews: Fuentes - “They’re ugly. They’re dysgenic.” Piker - “The most inbred” Same hate. Same contempt. But apparently one comes with a progressive exemption.

PRESIDENT HERZOG'S DECISION It's my hope that on Wednesday, as President Herzog considers who to authorize to try to form a government, that he takes into serious consideration the overall welfare and security of his country.  The Arab parties are extremely radical in their rejection of the Jewish state, their constancy for Hamas, their objection to military action to defend the state of Israel, and their views have not changed despite the October 7 slaughter of innocents.  Israel, along with our country, is in the middle of a war with the Iranian regime and still must continue to deal with Hamas and Hezbollah.  It's not in Israel's best interest to have members of its government who undermine its very existence and security.  Nor is such a result compelled by the election or Eisenkot's demand to become PM.   The large majority of Jewish Israelis voted for Netanyahu and his coalition.  Eisenkot's party came in second and significantly underperformed the polls.  The Arab parties, by hook or crook, had a big showing but still came in third.  The 2nd place Eisenkot coalition has reportedly approached the 3rd place Arab coalition for the purpose of taking over the government and making Eisenkot the PM.  Hence, their propaganda, repeatedly declared, is that they represent the majority and 70 percent of the voters opposed Netanyahu.  Really?  The voters who supported Eisenkot also support the Arab parties and joining with them in running the government?  Of course, that's a shameless lie.  The marriage of these two coalitions would be a marriage of convenience -- for power.  It certainly doesn't represent the vast majority of the Israeli people.  I don't recall the Arab parties running as part of the Eisenkot coalition, do you?  And it certainly does not serve the national security interests of Israel at a time of heightened threats from numerous quarters. The best interest of the state of Israel should be the measure by which President Herzog makes his decision under these circumstances.  In my view, the tactics used by Eisenkot and his camp to try to force Herzog into the corner are thuggish, self-serving, and dangerous for Israel.  And if Herzog wishes to avoid another election, I doubt this marriage of convenience would forestall an election beyond 4-6 months, which would be the worst outcome.  Avoiding a new election ought not be the core principle by which to make a decision, if that's what is required or needed.  Certainly not a perfect outcome, but much better than ushering in literal enemies of the country into the government at the behest of the 2nd place coalition.   By the way, I have spoken to no one, consulted with no one, and am lobbied by no one.  Just my 2-cents worth.

This is a despicable betrayal from Rep. Stevens. Senate Democrats are united in our support for Abdul El-Sayed, because we know he will fight for the economic interests of working families in Michigan, unlike Mike Rogers, who is a tool of Donald Trump and billionaire donors.

She’s got her whole career ahead of her and she risked it all to stand on principle. You’re in the twilight of your career with nothing to lose and you’re so desperate to hang on to power that you’re caving to the Islamo-Marxist antisemites. You’re an embarrassment.
