Noticed anything different travelling through Morpeth lately? During recent north main line blocks @NetworkRailEC replaced the last jointed track on the East Coast fast lines with welded rail through the curve, improving hot weather resilience and giving a smoother ride @LNER – at York, England

#LNERUpdate There was disruption across the LNER route on 25 October due to Severe Weather in Scotland.
Tickets dated 25 October for stations between Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness, in both directions, can be used on any LNER service up to and including Tuesday 27 October.
If you're travelling with us tomorrow, don't forget that the clocks go back an hour tonight!

On Sat 28 and Sun 29 November, engineering work means that no trains can run between Peterborough and King's Cross.
After a successful trial in August, two more return trains between Newcastle and Bedford will run, connecting customers with Thameslink trains to London.

The East Coast Main Line between Edinburgh Waverley and Berwick will see speed restrictions in place on one section of the route from 13:00 this afternoon (Friday 23 Oct) until 08:35 tomorrow (Saturday 24 Oct).

At this time, there are no planned changes to our timetable in reaction to the weather. However, services operating to and from Scotland between 14.00 on Friday 23 October and 08.00 on Saturday 24 October may be delayed due to speed restrictions because of heavy rainfall.
