Let's dive in 👇🏻
I think we needed to have more Dario interviews to tell people his technology will make them poor and unemployed and kill them
Can we please go back to the days when ARR meant "Actual fucking Recurring Revenue"
Excited to announce @slashapp just crossed $500m in annualized revenue with under 100 employees.
Onwards 🫡
This extrapolates onto basically every subject you hear anyone say confident shit about btw
As a pilot*, I find it really fucking annoying that every non-qualified Dunning-Krugered armchair critic comes out for every aviation accident to provide their uneducated and often embarrassingly wrong takes on aviation in general. Even I refrain, and I'm more qualified than many!
*: I'm a baby pilot. I flew for ~10 years, acquired around 2,000 hours. 1,000 of my hours were in a jet. I've flown to nearly every state in every season.
Despite all that, I'm still wildly unqualified to make any sort of conclusions about most topics on here. So I don't.
And yet, there are many who are simply passengers with zero hours logged whatsoever (or, non-A&P or even ground crew!) making grand claims about how aviation works, what regulatory bodies should/shouldn't do, pilot qualification judgements, etc.
Gross.
I am totally shocked
Nobody could've foreseen this happening with a product vibecoded by high schoolers, there was just no way to know something like this would happen
In other news, software engineering is solved
‼️ Apps built with the AI app-maker Lovable left passport numbers, payment information and 200,000 chat messages open to anyone, no login needed.
German security firm Crissy Field scanned 159,041 Lovable projects and found databases with email addresses readable on 7,403 sites.
Lovable promises no coding skills are needed. Its terms make customers responsible for their apps and data.
Lovable told German business daily Handelsblatt the problem is industry-wide.
100% of the games being built today are using Codex or Claude Code
the era of artisanally hand typed { curly braces } is over. it just is

take the internet away from the children, please
I'm the founder of a fintech at 12 years old, and we're raising a $1.5m pre-seed. Here's my W27 application to @ycombinator.

Supermarket freezers in Belgium and Sweden hit by cyber-attack bbc.in/4zilPiF
this and similar replies to the thread are insane to me
I bought a house with a Revolut transfer
it's your money
bank is not in charge of your money
if anything like that happens to me at a bank - I'm terminating the account immediately assuming it's an institution of thieves
Replying to @whippletom
I sold a motorbike for £1500 by bank transfer and the guy was on the phone to his bank for 40 minutes assuring them it was a real motorbike that he was sitting on right now with V5 filled out with his name etc. They just wouldn't believe him. Transfer, not even cash
it literally doesn't matter, if you hold my legal tender and I request you give me my legal tender, which I'm paying you to hold, you're giving me my legal fucking tender and not asking why I need my legal tender I've entrusted you with holding
"I'm in <country> for the first time"
*proceeds to day some of the most uninformed shit you've ever heard*
"It's awesome!"
Every time, like clockwork, I swear to god
Budapest is awesome but Ricky here has no idea how anything works
I'm in Hungary🇭🇺 for the first time.
The country has one of the best tax regimes in the EU.
Not just for entrepreneurs. For everyone actually:
> 0% income tax for people under 25y/o
> 0% income tax for mothers with 3 kids
> Flat 15% income tax for everyone else
> No inheritance tax for wife & kids
> Lowest corporate tax (9%)
> Pensions are tax-free
> No wealth tax
To be fair, the VAT is the highest in the EU with 27%, but I'd rather pay a bit more for my coffee than 45% in income tax.
bro doesn't know what a director does
Full credit goes to the cinematographer. My money is on Lucas being completely oblivious to this.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
George Lucas directed the prequels and was heavily involved in their visual style/shot composition via pre-visualization, storyboards, and classical art references; cinematographers executed the director's vision.

everything is left to do
besides fast food equivalent of software sold to other software devs
that market is kaput
but that's one of like the only 3 (also fast-food grade) areas meaningfully affected by AI
And reminder that 98% of the non-tech-bubble world doesn't know about AI
I feel like this is designed specifically to get the one bending spoons guy
JUST IN: ITALY EXIT TAX
🇮🇹 Italy proposes a 26% exit tax on unrealized investment gains for people leaving the country from 2027.
It’d apply to those with €800k+ in relevant assets who were tax residents for at least 6 of the last 10 years.
I've been warning you: European countries are bankrupt and will try to seize your assets.
The exit is closing.
