The best AI technology should not make us less human. It should help us become more human.
For the past two years, Rule29 has used Chipp as one of the platforms helping us build custom AI tools for our team and our clients. Recently, Andy and Justin had the privilege of speaking at Chipp’s conference.
What stood out most was not simply the technology. It was the focus on human connection. And Andy and Justin worked with a cohort of builders to talk about what is next over the two days.
The conversations centered on building meaningful relationships, openly sharing what we are learning, and supporting one another as we use AI to strengthen what makes each person, organization, service, and idea distinct and valuable.
That is why we love Chipp. They understand that AI is not the point. The point is what people can create, improve, and accomplish with it.

The debate about AI and jobs often breaks down into two extreme groups, both of which have an evidence problem. On the one hand are the Doomers, who say AI will take everybody's job, even though unemployment remains low and the employment rate for prime-age Americans is still very high. On the other hand are the Deniers, whose insistence that AI is a worthless scam prevents them from seeing the many ways it's changing work and the economy already.
If you want a strong and evidence-based take about AI and jobs, I have one for you: There's never been a better time for workers to get rich by going independent. This is a golden age for tiny startups with big revenue.
The evidence:
Charts 1 & 2: The number of solo entrepreneurs and tiny startups is taking off.
Chart 3: There is rising evidence that these small firms are more likely to use AI and sell AI-related products, whether it's software, consulting, or design.
Chart 4: Today's micro-startups are becoming million-dollar firms faster and more frequently than any generation of firms that Stripe has measured.
Today's article is about the rise of the solo act in the US labor force and its implications for the future of business, social life (more solopreneurs = even more aloneness?), and America's fiscal crisis (more pass-through firms = even less tax revenue for a revenue-starved government).

Only way to limit coming AI backlash is to start shifting taxes from labor to compute. The average voter needs to see salient benefits from AI. Today we tax labor > compute (income vs corp tax, depreciation for machines not education, payroll tax, etc). This will have to invert.

Under the directives of the President of the UAE, we launch a new government model. Within two years, 50% of government sectors, services, and operations will run on Agentic AI, making the UAE the first government globally to operate at this scale through autonomous systems.
AI is no longer a tool. It analyses, decides, executes, and improves in real time. It will become our executive partner to enhance services, accelerate decisions, and raise efficiency.
This transformation has a clear timeline. Two years. Performance across government will be measured by speed of adoption, quality of implementation, and mastery of AI in redesigning government work.
