Paving the way for global career opportunities for India's skilled youth!
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship signed an MoU with the Government of Madhya Pradesh for establishing a Skill India International Centre (SIIC) at Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skills Park, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
The Centre will serve as a coordination hub to prepare a skilled workforce for international opportunities through demand-driven training, foreign language proficiency, country-specific skill requirements and employer-validated competencies.
The initiative aims to strengthen ethical, transparent and worker-centric overseas employment pathways, aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Government notifies National Social Security Board for Unorganised Workers and Gig & Platform Workers under the Labour Codes
In a landmark step toward ensuring comprehensive social security for India's massive informal workforce, the Ministry of Labour & Employment (@LabourMinistry) has notified the official constitution of the National Social Security Board for Unorganised Workers and Gig & Platform Workers.
Established under the statutory framework of the Code on Social Security, these Boards mark a historic shift by integrating digital gig and platform professionals into India's formal welfare architecture.
The Boards are mandated to design, monitor, and recommend targeted welfare schemes to bridge the social security gap for millions of gig & platform workers alongside traditional unorganised workers.
As part of the implementation phase of #SpecialCampaign6, National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, organised a cleanliness drive across its campus, with active participation from both staff members and students.
Participants undertook cleaning activities across the institute premises, including the upkeep of training equipment and workstations, reinforcing the spirit of collective responsibility and a shared commitment to Swachhata.
The initiative promotes a clean, hygienic and conducive environment for learning and working.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship convened a National Performance Review of CPSEs at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi, to strengthen apprenticeship engagement, promote inclusion and focus on outcomes beyond numbers.
Smt. Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, MSDE, emphasised the need to make apprenticeship an aspirational pathway from learning to livelihoods, with success measured through completion, certification, employability, absorption and retention.
Under NAPS-2, 44.75 lakh apprentices were engaged between FY 2022-23 and 22 September 2026, supported by 47,452 active establishments.
