How can law schools prepare the next generation of lawyers to navigate the growing role of artificial intelligence in the practice of law while remaining grounded in ethical judgment and the values of responsibility, accountability, and transparency? Yesterday, several Notre Dame Law faculty members, including three professors from the Notre Dame London Law Programme, joined leading scholars and legal practitioners from around the world at BMA Advogados in Brazil to explore this question and many others through discussions centered on the theme, "AI and the Future of the Legal Profession." The panel discussions examined the opportunities and risks presented by AI, the ethical responsibilities of lawyers and law students, and the challenges of regulating rapidly evolving technologies.
