⌛️ Time is running out for residents and organisations to share feedback on another key part of Stirling’s Local Development Plan (LDP). More than 1,700 people have already had their say in two surveys in this part of the consultation – the plan’s spatial strategy and the site options that are currently being considered for inclusion. And with these surveys closing at midnight on Thursday 23 July, residents, community groups and other key stakeholders are being urged to take part before the deadline. The spatial strategy will dictate where and how growth, development and land-use change will happen in the Stirling Council area (except Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park), directing investment and housing to the most appropriate locations. The site options shown in this round of the consultation come from two places: • Sites submitted by landowners and developers during the Call for Sites, which ran from August to October 2025. • Sites already identified for development in the current Stirling Local Development Plan that have not yet started and therefore need to be reassessed to decide whether they should be included in the next plan. Stirling Council Leader, Cllr Susan McGill said: “My thanks to everyone who has taken part in this important consultation on the new Local Development Plan. If you haven’t done so, now is the time to participate in the surveys with the deadline fast approaching. “It’s crucial you have your say about the new Local Development Plan as it will guide how your community and the wider Stirling area looks in the future – it will impact everyone who lives, works and visits here. This part of the consultation on site options includes an opportunity to share views on where things like new housing and other major developments should happen. “Don’t miss your chance to highlight the needs and ambitions of your community – take part in surveys before the deadline of 23 July.” The surveys and more details can be found on the Engage Stirling website: engage.stirling.gov.uk/en-GB… Read more: stirling.gov.uk/news/deadlin…
