I’m so thankful for Nan Whitney, She is the best sister for which anyone could wish. She is amazing.
Lots of ministers can say they have best full-time ministry staff, but I really do have be BEST. I praise God for Claire Gottshalk, @LordWillingham, and @thejfrizz!
We had the best Fall Fest tonight at Church Creek PCA. There is nothing quite like the Fall in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. I praise God for the men, women, boys, and girls of Church Creek. They are a special congregation.
The best cover of Prince’s “I Would Die for You.” @goosetheband for win! goosetheband.bandcamp.com/tr…
"God has highly exalted [Christ] and bestowed on him the name that is oabove every name, so that at the pname of Jesus qevery knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that sJesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Phil. 2:9–11).
I was so thankful to come home from Presbytery today to find @NancyGuth3’s new @crossway publications—Beholding Christ and the Beholding Christ Bible. Nancy is a gift to the church and her books are gems. I cannot recommend her works enough. Go get your copies!
“Like Noah, Ezra, and Nehemiah, Christian theologians are to get on with the job without troubling themselves too much about the dissuaders.” — John Webster HT: @jeremiahhurt
Christ redeemed us to be light and salt––wise as serpents and gentle as doves––before a hostile world (Matt. 5:13–16; 10:16). Accordingly, we're to be "without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom we shine as lights in the world" (Phil. 2:15).
"I would say without any hesitation that the most urgent need in the Christian church today is true preaching; and as it is the greatest and the most urgent need in the Church; it is obviously the greatest need of the world also." - Martyn Lloyd-Jones

The annual Fall Festival at Church Creek PCA is this next Saturday, Nov. 7, from 4-8 PM. We'll have games and activities for all ages––a bouncy obstacle course, pumpkin bowling, s'mores stations, fire pit, and chili cook off. We'd love to have you there! churchcreek.churchcenter.com…
Anna and I loved being with our dear friends, Chuck and Bridget Barrett. Chuck and I had the blessing of getting to serve together at Wayside Presbyterian Church with @BrianCosby18. It was wonderful to meet so many of the congregants that Chuck pastors at @CtKWilmington. The Barretts are the best. If you’re in the Wilmington, NC area, encourage you to visit CTK and to get to know Chuck and Bridget.
For 21 years, Anna Batzig has been the most loving, supportive, encouraging, patient, wise, godly, and beautiful wife. Anna, I cannot praise God enough for you. “Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all” (Prov. 31:29). Happy Anniversary, my love.

I loved getting to talk with @AdrielTweets about the heavenly ascent of worship with its focus on God as the host and object of our worship––exploring the theological rationale for the biblical elements of worship.
On this episode, @Nick_Batzig interviews @AdrielTweets regarding his book, "Why We Worship?" They discuss the biblical foundations of Lord's Day worship, the elements of worship, and the importance of viewing worship as a heavenly ascent. gospelgrammar.org/episodes/s…
