Mudwater's spark was Final Fantasy VIII, where you walk up, ante a card, winner takes it.
in @OthersideMeta that ante won't be an NPC script. play against real people, ante is in escrow onchain. win and you could redeem a vaulted physical if you want.
...and once that loop works, down the line I could imagine being able to ante more than cards. thinking about the possibilities with other NFTs and $APE, the currency of the realm.
play someone in-world •> settle onchain •> option to claim the physical or keep it in the vault.
