Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week may be ending but the message is year round - Only Working Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide Alarms Save Lives!
When it comes to carbon monoxide it is important to always remember the causes, remember to service, and remember the alarm. A working and not expired Carbon Monoxide Alarm can save your life.
Carbon Monoxide is odourless, tasteless, and colourless which makes it the Silent Killer. Ensure your house has a working and not expired Carbon Monoxide Alarm.

Thanksgiving weekend can be busy when preparing dishes and getting ready for family and friends. 🦃🍂 While cooking on the stovetop, stay in the kitchen and focus on the food.
Unattended cooking can quickly lead to a fire. Keep fire safety on the menu—never leave your pan unattended. 🍽️🔥

These fires don’t wait. They don’t give warnings. They explode, spread, and destroy before anyone can react.
This is our chance to act.
We’re doing everything we can to get the word out. Now it’s on you.
Fire departments. Safety partners. Community leaders. Neighbours. Friends. Families. Share this. Talk about it. Make sure no one can say they didn’t know.
Because the next fire we prevent could be in your home, your building, your street.
Don’t wait for a tragedy to take this seriously.
Know the risks. Choose safety. Protect your community.

Where you charge matters. 🔋
Never charge e-bikes, e-scooters or other lithium-ion battery-powered devices in doorways, hallways or escape routes.
Keep your way out clear. Think before you charge — don’t block your escape. 🔥

Rechargeable batteries and battery-powered devices don’t belong in household garbage. 🔋🗑️
Even when broken, batteries can pose a fire risk if damaged or crushed.

Need a new charger or cable? 🔌🔋
Just because a replacement fits doesn’t mean it’s made for your device.
Check the manufacturer’s instructions and use a recommended or original replacement. Off-brand charging cables can increase the risk of fire. 🔥
