We’re launching the zkVRF Phase 2 setup ceremony for our zk-SNARK VRF circuit on Solana.
The setup will be seeded with Ethereum block #23,440,000 as the random beacon:

We've released an early version of our VRF explorer. Find your VRF transactions, get required data for on-chain fairness. Available for Classic VRF Devnet / Mainnet: vrf-explorer.orao.network
Callback VRF has been upgraded with ReimburseTo directive. This is useful for apps who want to reimburse Solana's rent directly to the user. VRF SDK is at github.com/orao-network/sola…

Set a Clear Timeframe
Define a slot deadline for your VRF request and reveal process. If the deadline passes without completion, allow participants to withdraw their stakes.

Request Randomness Safely
Combine your participants' list hash and off-chain secret as the seed to request randomness:
seed = HASH(list_hash | off_chain_secret

Reveal and Verify
After obtaining ORAO VRF output, XOR it with your off-chain secret:
FINAL_RANDOMNESS = VRF_output XOR off_chain_secret
This ensures randomness is unbiased and verifiable.

Secure Randomness Seed
Generate a secret off-chain and publish only its hash on-chain. This protects from VRF manipulation and seed frontrunning.
