maybe it's just fall, but in a shockingly high % of my meetings recently we realize we're both wearing @onequince today's sweater fit

I know I can be overoptimistic at times, but I really think the State of California is going to do magnificent things with Zuck's $10B wealth tax payment.

One of the things you forget about fall is that it’s really nice to have a couple extra jacket pockets.

Best Ideas hbs.edu/ris/Publication%20Fi… We find that the stocks in which active mutual fund or hedge fund managers display the most conviction towards ex-ante, their “Best ideas,” outperform the market, as well as the other stocks in those managers’ portfolios, by approximately 2.8 to 4.5 percent per year, depending on the benchmark employed. The vast majority of the other stocks managers hold do not exhibit significant outperformance. Thus, the organization of the money management industry appears to make it optimal for managers to introduce stocks into their portfolio that are not outperformers. We argue that investors would benefit if managers held more concentrated portfolios.

I don’t know why, but about 5 minutes ago I thought if I ever made an 80s high school movie I’d have a guy walk into a party carrying pizza saying “Speak now or forever hold your pizza!” and then I realized I could just make it. Hollywood is mincemeat.

I’m intensely confused by this comment section. Are they all bots? There’s no way there are 500+ people all this dumb saying basically the same thing.
to be fair if my father owned an emerald mine I could do this too
