I was the slowest throwing pitcher on my high school team every year. @ASCavsBaseball I was the slowest throwing pitcher at my Division I University every year. @MSMBaseball @MountAthletics I was the slowest throwing pitcher on all of my collegiate Summer League teams I played for. @GoBigTrain #HerndonBraves I was the slowest throwing pitcher through 6+ years of professional baseball on all the teams I played for. @Wpg_Goldeyes @WCThunderBolts @Wingnuts_ICT @yorkrevolution @Storm_Baseball @missionsmilb @SDPadres @CalLeague1 @TexasLeagueMiLB Some will say if only I threw a little harder I would have been the slowest throwing pitcher on @mlb team… 🫠 I made a successful career in pitching because of LOCATION, ACCURACY, COMMAND, & EXECUTION. Why do I bring this up? Because SOOOOOO many pitchers could be exponentially more successful, functional, and reliable in games with what they already have in their current state. They’ve just missed the boat on mentorship and how to actually pitch to produce outs more consistently than everyone else. It’s been a shame my whole life as I watched many of my peers squander God given ability. If only they had the opportunity to learn applicable information to the craft. Pitching development still carries on in 2026 the same way, at many big box locations.
