In the university of Film Music, the syllabus for OST/ BG Score - in simple terms RE Recording, should have a 100 page text book. And 10 pages be about #Dorothy #Rajasir 🙏. @karthiksubbaraj take a bow 👏.

There is a difference between capturing attention and earning attention. Capturing attention: constantly stimulating the viewer with changes in tone, music, visuals and suspense. Earning attention: giving the viewer something genuinely worth paying attention to.

Dear @Airtel_Presence, I feel like Will Smith Jr in I am legend, trying for the last two days to speak to a human being. My wi-fi is currently behaving like India's first innings test performance on green tops, in and out, in and out. Will you send me someone to help. Human please, It can't be that tough being nice to someone who pays you for three connections.

People are debating which game is easier...
Thinking about baseball and cricket: Why baseball is easy? 1. All balls a batter play are full tosses. No pitch influence. 2. There's swing in the ball but there are no spinners. You only face pacers. 3. The fielders only need to cover 90 degrees of the field - unlike cricket where the captain needs to set a tactical field covering 360 degrees. 4. All fielders can wear gloves, unlike cricket where the fielders, including the bowler takes a return catch in full speed have to field in empty hands. Why baseball is difficult? 1. Your bat is not flat. If middling a ball is within 1 cm around the centre of a cricket bat, here it's mm. Tighter tolerance. 2. Batter has to score only in V. 3. Batter can't have more than 3 dot balls. 4. A pitcher can't get assistance from the pitch. (Pun, Irony) In any case, in both the games, they play against the best players in their game. So, no game is better than the other. List your thoughts in quote.

Digression — the term “supremacy” is a dangerous idea whether in race, religion, caste or creed. How can anyone sane, in the world, accept supremacy in any form? (Even in science & technology, Quantum Supremacy is replaced by Quantum Advantage.) telegraph.co.uk/science/2019…
Ironically for all the support that Sharjeel has for his brand of religious supremacism, it is because of religious supremacism that he's unjustly incarcerated, albeit a different brand. Just goes on to show how dangerous religious supremacism is, it has no place for minorities, women and the caste marginalised. All brands of religious supremacism must be condemned unequivocally!

Subroto Banerjee and Saurav Ganguly debuted almost at the same time (1991 or 1992). One of my friends, by mistake, said Subroto Ganguly and we used to make fun of him for a long time.
He was a tall, athletic medium-fast bowler who took 3 wickets for just 47 runs on his Test debut at the SCG dismissing Geoff Marsh, Mark Taylor and Mark Waugh. Yet he never played another Test for India. Not even in the second innings of that match. Despite coming from the MRF Pace Foundation and showing genuine promise on bouncy Australian pitches, his international career ended after that one game (plus a handful of ODIs). What could be the real reason? Injury? Selection politics? Lack of a “godfather” in the system? Or something else? One of Indian cricket’s quieter mysteries.

One of my favorite Ashoke Sen stories is when a PhD student wrote a letter to him(this was in the early 90s) as a last ditch effort to understand some concepts that were eluding her. Unknown to her, Sen was due to visit her institute a week or so later. When Sen arrived, the very first thing he did after checking in was to find the student and answer all her questions.

There’s a subtle message for Indians in the murder (beheading) of Bangladeshi couple in Saudi Arabia: Never let religion dictate the rules of a land & never let your country be overtaken by religious zeolites. Faith is the end of imagination, not the beginning of it.

Today I spent two and a half hours watching Mandaadi, a South Indian film streaming on Netflix. It is available across multiple Indian languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, complete with English subtitles. Most days our feeds and conversations are dominated by AI, data centers, generative models, and LLMs. Mandaadi pulls you completely out of that bubble into a world far away, along the coast of Tamil Nadu, India. It offers an authentic glimpse into the lives of seafaring fishing communities and features an open-ocean boat race that is a real, living maritime tradition. Between the practical ocean filming, the sharp cinematography, and the raw action, it leaves you feeling genuinely refreshed. If you are looking for a shift in perspective, it is well worth your time. There's some violence that I abhorr which wasn't necessary in my opinion.

This story will sound like a joke but it is not. -A teacher in MP was disappointed by bad condition of village school. -He used his own money to paint it, put some furniture in dining space, cleaned it. -brought a smart board. Gave some stationary to students. -brought 2 retired people to teach students for free. -also brought 2 other teachers & paid them from his pocket. -school enrolment increased, kids left private schools to study here. -kids from nearby villages also came. -Education Department transferred the teacher. -angry villagers protested on highway against his transfer. -he had to leave. Kids cried, everyone sad. -retired teachers were also removed. -kids started leaving school. -villagers protested again at collectorate to bring back that teacher. -Edu Dept gave show cause notice to the teacher asking him if he really used his own money? Who gave him permission. -Also asked him how he hired other teachers w/o permission. -asked if he has given stationary to kids, where did he get the funds? -warned him to reply to the notice to avoid the disciplinary action.

Ten years ago, When Singaporeans complained about haze, the Indonesian authorities said "For 11 months, they enjoyed nice air (oxygen, recently) from Indonesia and they never thanked us... " (They= Singapore, Malaysia) Now, we need to worry about the 11 months also.
