yes, I will jump you. (Not really lol) But I do maintain that it’s the best ending in video games, and I have thought about it literally every day since late 2016. There’s beauty in the subversion of the traditional JRPG theme and it’s one I personally love. The way to end an unending cycle of warring deities driven by conflicting attributes is to step into the crosshairs and satisfy them all. It’s a theology of sacrificial, substitutionary atonement, and Noctis fulfills it beautifully. Such a move appears like mindless obedience, but to the one choosing, it seems noble and worthy. Will I get jumped if I say that FFXV had a beautiful, yet "bad" ending? Many FFs are about humans standing up to a deity and winning, XV is an outlier where the plan of the deities plays out EXACTLY as intended, and both protagonist and antagonist suffer the consequences of it.

Some of y’all would probably enjoy video games more if you stopped thinking about the business side of things. It’s okay to enjoy games and not think about profit margins or which department is working on which game.

I really genuinely like using this app and connecting with good, kind, and happy gamers who enjoy video games as much as I do. But that's the minority. Not the norm. The negativity is so normal it really does a good job drowning out the good stuff. And there's lots of good.
