I have finally found the most beautiful computer. New old stock from 1980. Never been turned on.

I’ve been working on a new SSD design, this time as a custom replacement for a proprietary IDE SSD used in a very special UMPC. Take a guess at which one! This board was a bit of a nightmare to route, and required use of 6 layers, but I got it done and it is in production now!

Repy to post about AI on X: “You’re not tokkenmaxxing enough to reach the nirvana godhead” Reply to post about AI on Bluesky: “Why do you delight in killing kittens and burning forests” There has to be something in between. Some state between 1 and 0 😜

I tried Omarchy, but as with every Linux, I hit a wall. Had an idea to allow GrokBot to SSH in, and now I'm telling Grok what to do in Omarchy, and it's teaching me Linux as it goes: "Grok, sound isn't working -- fix it!"...and 30 seconds later I have sound! This is absolutely revolutionary! I am going to blow past every wall I have ever hit using Linux. AI is clearly the answer to the fact that Linux has never been a palatable OS for the masses.

Finally re-monetized! Wow, it seemed more painful the second time around. Thanks to everyone for tolerating my constant spamming. I will now proceed with only posting what I find interesting throughout the day, instead of constantly throwing in the kitchen sink.

Nothing to see here! Just another pallet of non-stolen yet locked/managed iPads that will never be reused due to Apple's planned obsolescence.

As always with these posts, hundreds of people prove beyond any doubt how completely ignorant they are of the entire recycling industry and how it functions. And that ignorance, obviously, leaves them susceptible to Apple's marketing propaganda, which they are happy to adopt. It's really pretty pretty impressive -- Apple doesn't even have to comment on these issues because the brainwashed fanboys willingly do all their dirty work.

You want to know how easy it is to use a terminal Ai like Grok Build? Last week I rooted an old Amazon Fire tablet my boss donated and turned into a retrocade handheld Today my wife asked me to do the same to an old phone our son’s been playing with as a camera. She asked ME to do it. 🙄 I told her that @grok was right there and Grok Build was open in the terminal. Told her to tell Grok to do it. She did. 20 min later I look over and she’s playing Tetris.
Repurpose your old devices Amazon Fire 8 > RetroArc Classic ROMS … no adds

I wonder if this was meant to work with the transparent CRT Cinema Display. Due to increased power requirements, that model does not work with Apple DVI adapters (and therefore cannot be used with a non-ADC Mac, or non-Mac).
unreleased 180w aluminum apple cinema display prototype power adapter (with unknown plug) speculated to be associated with a cancelled 34" model

In today’s edition of “vintage computer I hadn’t heard of until just now”: The Macintosh SE 1/20. Deceptively, the “20” means it has a 20MB hard drive — NOT that it has a 68020 processor (which you would think, because the “30” in “SE/30” means it has a 68030).
