fab2
fab2 builds the hardware and software needed to make chips, fabs, tools, and components.
fab2.comThe company started hiring contractors-only for that launch site for about the next year; we had the whole "blue badge" vs "white badge" thing going on.
Shout-out to all those contractors who helped re-build that pad. They may not be staring at $SPCX day-in, day-out, but their efforts were building blocks to what the company is today. 🚀
We talked to a few hundred students at Waterloo and CMU this week about building small, fast semiconductor fabs. Interns build the hardware and software tools in our fab. You get a credit card, space in our lab, machine shop access, and great mentors. The rest is up to you.
