It was a real privilege to attend yesterday’s #Remembrance Reception at @10DowningStreet, alongside members of the serving community, veterans, bereaved families and the organisations that support them.
@SSAFA's National Chair, Sir Simon Bollom attended No.10 with Ellen Chard (pictured right with Chris Dziuba, Chair of the War Widows Association), representing our work supporting bereaved families across the Armed Forces community.
It was also wonderful to join representatives from the Defence Bereaved Families Group, with whom SSAFA works closely.
During such a poignant week, it felt especially meaningful to come together with people and organisations united in supporting families whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice.
It was a moment to remember, reflect and recognise the importance of support and collaboration long after loss.
SSAFA remains committed to supporting the #ArmedForces community, including families who have lost someone serving or a veteran.
Through our peer support groups, we offer connection, comfort and understanding among people with shared experiences, helping ensure families do not have to face that journey alone.
