Takashi Yamazaki's GODZILLA MINUS ONE (2023) stars Minami Hamabe, Ryûnosuke Kamiki, Sakura Andô, Yuki Yamada, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Munetaka Aoki and Kuranosuke Sasaki. The film won Visual Effects at the 96th Oscars.

One of my favorite references in Godzilla Minus Zero was with the whales, its such a clever homage to Godzilla's entrance in Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster
Its alot more subtle compared to some of the other huge references throughout the film, but thats also why I loved it

Local screens cannot fit whole of Godzilla like IMAX 70MM 😭
#GodzillaMinusZero is a film that absolutely deserves to be experienced in IMAX. The visuals are stunning, the score delivers that grand cinematic feel, and the CGI is impressive for the most part. The story itself is relatively straightforward for a Godzilla film, but I felt the ending lost some of its emotional impact because of certain moments earlier in the film that were clearly intended to set it up.
Compared to its predecessor, this sequel delivers significantly more action and raises the stakes in all the right ways. Godzilla fans should walk away satisfied, especially if they go in with reasonable expectations and embrace it for what it is: a fun, thrilling Japanese monster-action sequel that takes things up a notch.

I went to the Japan premiere of “Godzilla Minus Zero” at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya. As a huge Godzilla fan and a fan of Minami Hamabe, this is a film I’ve been eagerly waiting three years to see. And I got to see it in IMAX!!! There were moments that played out just as I imagined, moments that surprised me in the best possible way, moments beyond anything I could have imagined, and moments clearly made for hardcore fans (scenes that brought tears to my eyes as a longtime fan, and scenes I’d always dreamed of seeing brought to life)….. I can’t say anything more without giving away spoilers. By the final climax, I was so excited that I practically felt dorsal fins sprouting from my back and an atomic heat ray blasting out of my mouth! There’s also a little of that “Always: Sunset on Third Street” feeling, perhaps because it’s directed by Takashi Yamazaki. The film opens in Japan on November 3. Once it’s released, I’ll definitely be seeing it a few more times in IMAX.
