The neo-anti-Semites are out in full force today, almost like the lid of the Abyss was lifted and the demonic hoards of the underworld were unleashed to ravage the land. Resist their devilish wiles!
“Do your own research” is good advice if: 1) you have access to primary sources and raw data (most don’t); 2) you actually know how to do research (most don’t); 3) you can sort and evaluate evidence (most can’t); 4) you can identify logical and rhetorical fallacies (most can’t); and 5) you have peers who can hold you accountable to 1–4 (most don’t). Failing at 1–5, relying on A.I. is also NOT doing your own research. It’s the total opposite masked as doing your own research.
Theology 101: Churches should be vessels of truth, righteousness, and peace; but many are warships of propaganda, hostility, and division.
Theology 101: I have a long mental list of Christians both past and present who don’t know a tenth of the Hebrew, Greek, Bible, Theology, and History I know…but are ten times the saint I am.
Ok. This rant is politics adjacent, and completely neutral as to party or even platform: but all those tons of large, full color, cardstock paper mailings I’m getting from every politician in the area? They are going straight in the trash. I’m not even glancing at them anymore. About a month ago I’d at least see who they were from. Then I just gather and trash, gather and trash, gather and trash. The inundation of such political mailings can’t possibly be a well-thought-out strategy. I suspect at this point the flood just cancels everything out and it becomes just a total waste of time, money, and paper. They are spending millions of dollars on these mailings, and I suspect the result would be the same if they stopped sending them a month ago. I’d fire whatever political consulting firm thinks 6-10 mailings per mailbox per day is actually effective.
Rant over.
The Angel of the LORD in the OT was, in fact, the pre-incarnate Logos. Moreover, all theophanies in the OT were “logophanies.”
Hey @grok, ask yourself any yes or no question you want to ask yourself and answer it with only yes or no.

I can’t explain it, but it looks like my theology-infused sci-fi novel “Töpia” is still my highest-rated fiction book on Goodreads. Even higher than “The AItheist.” Huh.
Imagine a credentialed PhD scholar has A.I. write an academic article he published with only a few personal edits—so 90% A.I. research and writing. He gets caught. What should happen to him?

I stay out of stuff that’s not my stuff. I got my own stuff I can’t stay out of. I just don’t get how people with all their own stuff make other people’s stuff their stuff.

Help my friend Leonardo Costa. I’m aware of the trip he’s taking and its importance for his ministry and for the work he and many others—including myself—are doing, and any modest support you can give would be put to good use for kingdom work. Blessings!
