Yesterday was National Mentoring Day, a reminder of the powerful role mentorship plays in the graduate student journey. From navigating academic challenges to building professional networks and gaining hands-on experience, strong mentorship can make a lasting impact long after graduation.
Through the College of Graduate Studies' Graduate Enrichment Mentoring Initiative (GEMiNi), graduate students can access mentorship resources and guidance for building meaningful academic and professional connections.

Wow! My student Noah Brockhoff won another award for his research on how rocket exhaust blows lunar soil. This all started with him approaching me out of the blue with “I really want to get into lunar research”, so I pulled a thread to find him some funding and now he’s here 🫡
What a great night celebrating all of our award winners! 👏
