Hilaire Belloc explains the necessity of viewing history through a Catholic hermeneutic. Without it, pivotal events like Henry VIII's Dissolution of the Monasteries are distorted by incomplete narratives.

From the Introduction of the Father Lasance Missal: "King Arthur's knights, good, bad, and indifferent, all turn in to wayside chapels to hear Mass..." A beautiful reminder of how we all need the Mass, because Christ, our Redeemer, awaits us there.
