Ambassador Darryl Nirenberg

Congratulations to the @Brewers on their first @MLB World Series championship! 🏆 Here in Bucharest, our own Erik Liederbach, a proud Milwaukee native, is celebrating with all of Wisconsin.  We’re sending the American flag that flew over the U.S. Embassy on the day the Brewers won the championship, so the team knows Americans serving overseas are cheering just as hard.  Sports diplomacy at its best. 🇺🇸⚾️

As I meet with religious leaders throughout Romania, I’m continually inspired by the depth of the country’s faith traditions. Great discussion today with Dr. Sorin Bădrăgan, President of the Baptist Union, on our shared values, religious freedom, and his community’s strong ties to the Southern Baptist Convention.  🇺🇸🤝🇷🇴

Cyber threats respect no borders—neither does our resolve to stop them. Honored to address the 10th 🇺🇸🇷🇴 Cyber Security Conference at the Diplomatic Club. By sharing intelligence, safeguarding critical energy infrastructure, and building trust before a crisis strikes, we ensure our technologies serve freedom and keep both our nations secure.🛡️

Grateful for the opportunity to join my fellow Ambassadors and colleagues at the @US_EUCOM Chiefs of Mission Conference. Informative discussions on regional threats, deterrence, and partnership priorities. Diplomacy and defense working hand-in-hand to make America stronger and safer. 🤝🇺🇸

Faith is at the very core of human dignity. It shapes who we are, anchors our families, and builds our communities. On this International Religious Freedom Day, we reflect on one of our most fundamental human rights: the freedom to believe and worship freely. Together with our Romanian friends, we remain dedicated to defending and honoring this essential freedom for all. 🇺🇸🇷🇴🕊️

Religious freedom and the fight against antisemitism are priorities for both 🇺🇸 & 🇷🇴.  Glad to welcome my good friend @AJCGlobal President Bobby Lapin to Bucharest during his trip here to partner with Romanian lawmakers in this important work.

An honor to join Romanian leaders at Parliament to close the 4-day Joint C-UAS Workshop. Together with @StateDept ACN, we’re strengthening NATO’s Eastern Flank by laying the groundwork for a Romanian National Action Plan to counter unmanned systems, protect critical infrastructure, and enhance regional security. 🇺🇸🇷🇴 #StrongerTogether

Honored to join Minister Miruță and State Secretary Moldovan as we transfer this C-130 Hercules to the Romanian Air Force. This aircraft turns shared commitments into real capability—strengthening NATO's Eastern Flank and Romania's defense capacity. May it serve Romania and our Alliance with distinction. 🇺🇸🇷🇴

Thrilled to celebrate the new agreement between 🇺🇸American Councils and the 🇷🇴Ministry of Education, which will significantly increase the high school exchanges through #FLEXGlobal program. The U.S. and Romania are bound by a shared commitment to freedom and opportunity. We are proud to invest alongside Romania in the next generation. 🇺🇸🇷🇴

Historic speech from @SecRubio in Athens on the strength of the U.S.-Europe partnership.
