think i have proved myself because i literally have kept up with everyone and now we are doing framing im even excelling and running circles around guys ya i’m not the most high end finish guy of all time but i can do literally 90% of stuff really well especially the hard labor

i don’t think i’ve ever been pushed harder in my life maybe since football practice or tennis practice as a kid this new company and crew i’m on is super fucking gnarly these guys just don’t stop they go and go and go the tank never runs out it’s wild but it’s good for the soul

it’s been good at this new job proving myself as a real high end carpenter all around framer , finish guy and project manager I still have a lot to learn but i generally know how to do most things and have a good knowledge and muscle memory in doing them also i work my ass off

boss taught me a cool trick today regarding how to find square when framing an non square area using pythagorean theorem you can make a triangle then make an arch and calculate the rise over run and pull that number on your arch and you get square it was sick

working hard today framed a whole deck up with one other guy we busted ass didn’t wear gloves got PT all over my hands other guy used placement nailer for brackets i just used hand bangs

deck is framed up mostly all stainless steel hardware epoxy anchored ledgers just need to add flat blocking for borders and breaks and then some regular blocking

pretty much music has now overtake surfing for my most loved hobby and the activity i get most joy out of also the people in music are way more chill and kind and well rounded than surfing also would like to get my kiddo in music when we decide to have kids

i wanna get really good on the keys and start playing in a few bands i wanna join or start a grateful dead band and then also do funk music and reggae keyboard is sick cuz you can do all types of music im starting with jazz
