I'll be taking @getportapp out of beta soon.
Which means users will need to pay to access features.
So if you're a crypto bro with many wallets, nows your chance to get in and secure Pro for a year for free.
It takes very very little to disassemble nano S and nano X, you can do it super easily at home and remount them safely, if you bought from a reseller it's definitely worth the peace of mind
PSA the ledger incident isn't limited to Asia
This is a device purchased in store from an official reseller in Europe (a legitimate device doesn't have any of these cables as can be seen in picture 2)
This even seems to be an old version of the 'spy implant' even though the device was purchased a couple of weeks ago. The newer versions usually hide the implant by the screen so it's easier to miss
What's interesting is that this compromised ledger never transfered funds to an exploiter. Either the device didn't work or they were waiting for a more widespread usage of the comprised devices?
If you own a ledger that didn't directly come from the ledger online store make sure to not just rely on the software genuinely check by ledger but to actually open up the ledger yourself to make sure its original, again there are reported cases in Asia, south America and now Europe as well.
@MagicalTux made some useful videos on how to open the ledger and what to look for.

Ledger is investigating reports of loss of funds from users in South East Asia who purchased products from a reseller named CryptoBillis. As a precaution, and pending the results of our investigation, we have asked CryptoBilis to pause all sales and shipments of Ledger devices. We recommend Ledger users who purchased from this reseller in the last 90 days to not initiate set up if you have not done so yet. If you have set up your Ledger device, consider moving assets to a new Ledger signer (with new seed). We will continue to inform customers of updates as the investigation progresses.

Somewhere along the way crypto devs decided that learning to code made them gods.
No replies. Talking down to their users. No clue what their users actually want.
I'm not in the coding club and I don't want to be.
I built Port_, and I actually want to hear from you.
Something breaks, tell me. Number looks wrong, tell me. Feature I haven't thought of, tell me.
Patch notes go out every few days. The open beta is free. I want this to be the number one port manager/tracker in crypto and I'll outwork anyone to get there, but I can't do it without you telling me where it falls short.
DMs open, friends.

robinhood chain worked because it gave crypto something it desperately needed: a new casino.
the reason is pretty simple, but it’s a confluence of multiple factors happening at once.
first and foremost, the design space has changed.
tokenized assets, RWAs, whatever you want to call them, being natively issued onchain are still in their infancy. robinhood chain owns that play right now.
but more importantly, every cycle needs a new casino game.
one where the rules aren’t established and nobody has figured it out yet. that’s where edge comes from.
as more games are played at the casino by more players, that edge erodes. strategies emerge, experts emerge, and eventually you get a profitable power law where the same few people win over and over again.
that’s what happened with pumpfun.
it’s been happening for 18+ months now. i made a video about this ages ago, you can probably find it on youtube.
when edge gets eroded to the same 50 people stealing money from each other, the game stops being fun.
people go looking for somewhere there are no experts yet.
the new game needs to feel familiar enough to understand, but have new dynamics that make it a free for all.
that’s what has happened here.
pons, long xyz, tokenized assets and novel defi primitives are nerd sniping even the most degenerate onchain traders.
the plumbers and trenchers are one on robinhood. a mixture of old and new.
no yield farming. no points programmes.
the only incentive is speculation.
and it is the best incentive there is.
i don’t know what this means for new ecosystems because people have tried everything.
build it and they will come.
curated ecosystems.
building their own apps.
but the one common denominator is as old as time itself:
make your users rich and they will stick around.
this isn’t new.
it happened on ethereum, then BSC, then avalanche, then arbitrum. everything died for a bit, then solana ignited the 23-25 cycle.
now we are here.
another thing happening at the same time is that the ideas guys can actually ship now.
we’re seeing ICM play out at rapid scale, where developers, actual developers, not someone launching coins on pumpfun, can ship amazing products and novel designs with an associated token and get them to market for very little.
again, this opens the design space even further.
finally, there is always a new onboarding method for every cycle.
there’s always a viral app that onboards the masses.
this is the largest onboarding event since 2020 and we can see Fomo’s numbers to back that up.
i genuinely believe that, for the first time since 2021, we might actually get a large portion of those newly onboarded users to stick around because there is something more tangible than shitcoins.
i mean, they’re all shitcoins, but you know what i mean.
what i’ve learned above all else, and i think i always knew this, is that you get to your desired outcome by first going through speculation.
investors speculate in private markets on the upside of a founder.
the founder sells the vision and the dream so the investor can speculate on that upside.
that gives the founder the money to actually build the vision.
the same thing is happening here.
how do you get deep onchain liquidity around tokenized assets, the holy grail?
the issuer isn’t going to incentivise liquidity or volume.
the DEX might, but it doesn’t issue the assets, so value leakage is high.
the chain can’t be seen to be doing it.
so what do you do?
you let the plumbers and unemployed neets speculate, speculate, speculate.
and in doing so, they serve the purpose of getting you to the actual end goal:
deep onchain liquidity for RWAs.
the same applies elsewhere.
Fomo is going to achieve its intended goal of becoming the new age social media, and maybe become one of the first to genuinely do it since TikTok.
the method is dopamine through speculation first, then presenting the deeper, more ingrained social elements afterwards.
speculation is king.
and if you understand how to use it, you can change your life or the trajectory of your company.

i'm ready to run it back
imo it has been negative EV sloshing around in the trenches for over 18 months if you are not terminally online and ultra ltf
doing this over multiple cycles you get an instinct when it is time to go heavy again and we are there again
it's time imo

Built something cool over this past week that leans more into a semi-automated style of trading. I know that the token discovery in the gmgns and axioms of the world are popular so did something similar but adapted to the Tradecraft workflow, signalling strategies and data pipeline.
On top I added something I dont think any other platform has - a replay mode where you can go back in time and see the tokens appear as the replay progresses. Kind of like watching a video on Youtube. You can pause, accelerate, go back and forth. The intent there is to eventually introduce a paper trading so that you can experiment with different approaches and see what would have worked. Someone, I think it was @blknoiz06, talked about having a Duolingo for trading, and I guess it goes in that direction for new pairs.
The video shows both the live and replay modes. What's important to understand is that the condition for a token to appear in the first lane is that it was triggered by a user defined Tradecraft strategy. In the case of the video it's when a certain number of TG groups have mentioned one of those tokens.

humanity protocol raised $50m from jump and pantera at $1.1b on june 5. four days later a foundation multisig key stored on a team member's laptop got compromised. 300m tokens minted, 17 wallets drained, 80 minutes before anyone paused transfers. now 8m palm vein scans are potentially linked to wallet addresses and you can't reset your palm veins like a password. the sybil resistance model requires centralized biometric storage to verify uniqueness which makes it a honeypot by design. every proof of personhood protocol faces this same contradiction until someone solves it
Tradecraft is live on Base! It's been cooking for several weeks and happy to say that it's finally out.
All the functionalities are there, like the on-chain signal lab (including the backtester) the integrations with messaging apps to detect Base calls and the JavaScript strategies with the AI assistant.
Looking forward to connect with others and learn more about this ecosystem. Anyone that is an advanced trader on Base please do sign up to the beta, you will be whitelisted. The form and screenshots of the site are available at tradecraft.finance

I have no secretary. @intern_cc is my only partner. Please report the handle @leci_pino so they can’t scam anymore
A security researcher just documented a large-scale counterfeit Ledger Nano S Plus operation selling compromised devices across multiple online marketplaces.
The fake units look identical to the real thing but contain completely different hardware. Instead of Ledger's secure element chip, the counterfeits run an ESP32 microcontroller with modified firmware labeled "Nano S+ V2.1." Seeds and PINs are stored in plain text and transmitted to attacker-controlled servers. Any wallet initialized on the device is drained.
The operation goes beyond the hardware. The sellers also distribute a fake version of Ledger Live built with React Native and signed with a debug certificate. It intercepts transactions and exfiltrates sensitive data to multiple command-and-control servers. The campaign spans five attack vectors: compromised hardware, Android APKs, Windows executables, macOS installers, and iOS apps distributed through TestFlight to bypass App Store review.
This comes days after ZachXBT documented a separate fake Ledger Live app that made it through Apple's Mac App Store review process. That operation drained over $9.5 million from more than 50 victims, including musician G. Love, who lost 5.92 BTC after entering his recovery phrase into what he believed was the legitimate app.
The pattern is clear: the attack surface for hardware wallet users has shifted from firmware exploits to supply chain and distribution fraud. The devices themselves remain secure. The problem is that users are being intercepted before they ever touch a real one.
Ledger's own "genuine check" feature can be bypassed when the hardware itself is compromised at the source, which makes where you buy the device as important as how you use it.
The rules haven't changed, but they've never been more important: buy hardware wallets only from the manufacturer. Never enter your recovery phrase into any software. If a companion app asks for your 24 words on a screen, it's a scam. Every time.
