A wallet linked to the Drift Protocol Team deposited 56.25M $DRIFT worth $2.44M into #Bybit and #Gate since the hack.

Deeply saddened by today's events and my heart goes out to all affected users and depositors. We continue to work with Drift and relevant teams to reach a positive outcome.

Drift Protocol suffered a major exploit resulting in hundreds of millions drained from the platform. Four vaults with allocations to Drift-based strategies were impacted.
Affected Vaults & Exposure
Vectis DriftPack Vault: 428K
Ranger USD: 249K
Elemental USDC Lending: 237K
Vectis Multi-Lend: 5K
Total Affected Amount: 919K (6% of Ranger Vaults' $14.6M TVL)
Immediate Actions Taken
1. All deposits and withdrawals on the impacted vaults have been paused
2. All vault managers were contacted immediately and advised to halt vault operations
3. Market allocations to Drift-related venues have been stopped — withdrawal logic has been programmed to automatically recover funds from Drift as soon as withdrawals resume on their end
4. We are in direct contact with the Drift team and monitoring their resolution process
What Is Not Affected
All other vaults with no Drift exposure continue to operate normally. Ranger Vault’s core infrastructure was not compromised — this exposure is limited to downstream allocations to Drift's protocol.
Next Steps
- We will provide updates as the Drift team communicates their recovery and resolution plan
- A post-incident review of venue risk controls is underway to strengthen safeguards against downstream protocol exposure
- Any recovery of funds from Drift will be distributed back to affected vault depositors

Earlier today, a malicious actor gained unauthorized access to Drift Protocol through a novel attack involving durable nonces, resulting in a rapid takeover of Drift’s Security Council administrative powers.
This was a highly sophisticated operation that appears to have involved multi-week preparation and staged execution, including the use of durable nonce accounts to pre-sign transactions that delayed execution.

Drift Protocol is experiencing an active attack. Deposits and withdrawals have been suspended. We are coordinating with multiple security firms, bridges, and exchanges to contain the incident.
