We brought AIR to the @IATA Payment Services Forum 2026 in Macao, joining @Visa on the Emerging Payment Technologies: Agentic Payments panel.
The business case for agentic commerce rests on trust.
Trust runs in every direction in agentic commerce. The merchant has to believe a real human stands behind the agent. The customer has to believe their information stays private. And the brand has to believe it still owns the relationship, even when the customer asks AI to shop for them instead of visiting the website.
AIR offers the identity layer that delivers this trust.
The human delegates to the agent to verify on their behalf, and merchants verify through Visa's Trusted Agent Protocol, so the merchant knows who stands behind the agent. Verification runs on credentials, not on free-form personal data handed to an agent server, so the customer's information stays private. And verified identity lets merchants serve relevant, personalized offers and bundles, which is how a brand keeps repeat purchases.
Thank you @Visa for sharing the stage with us.

Replying to @1Password
@1Password just launched a way for AI agents to log in with your approval without seeing the password.
For merchants, this is the new test:
Ask an agent to buy as an existing loyalty member.
Can it:
→ Find and apply the member price?
→ Prove it’s eligible for the offer?
→ Stay inside the spending limit?
If the agent misses the member benefit, your loyalty program just got invisible to AI shoppers.
Start with one offer. Run the journey. See where it breaks.
Verified identity is what lets customers actually travel with the agent.

AI is bringing shoppers. Is your checkout ready when agents buy?
Before accepting an agent’s order, 6 questions need to be answered:
→ Identity: Which agent is calling?
→ Authentication: Can it prove control of its identity or credentials?
→ Delegation: Who authorised it to act?
→ Authorisation: Does that permission cover this purchase, right now?
→ Eligibility: Does the customer qualify for the offer?
→ Payment approval: Has the payment provider approved payment?
A recognised agent can still lack permission. A cheaper basket can still fall outside the customer’s approval.
AIR’s checklist separates these decisions so product, engineering and support teams can explain what passed, and what didn’t.

Delist before it’s too late ⏰! @MindGames_AI
.@a16z We absolutely agree with @ekuyda which is why @hellominds_ was setup as multiagent and multiplayer AI agents since its inception in February this year, check it out at hellominds.ai the leading AI Agent in Asia
Eugenia Kuyda, founder of @wabi, on why chatbots are the MS-DOS era of AI, and why a new interface is necessary to make AI's full potential obvious to everyone:
"It always struck me as strange that people were using products like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude, but mostly for very simple use cases: for search, or to help them write something, help with homework."
"No one was really mentioning any of these exciting capabilities that we just kept seeing the models get, and so we felt like there must be an interface problem."
"There should be something simple for everyone, me included, to actually discover these amazing use cases that all these models already have."
"We got obsessed with this metaphor that the current chatbots are really the Microsoft DOS era for AI interfaces. And that there will be some sort of a Windows/MacOS moment."
"There is so much traction with chatbots... In order to unlock something else, you need a more exciting interface."

Are you happy with things as they are? No one is writing, no one is showing any enthusiasm, and time keeps passing without anything happening.
Looking at what has been said and implemented so far, it’s clear that we haven’t moved beyond empty promises and fallacies. We need concrete actions, real progress, and results , not just words. Time is passing, and we cannot afford to keep standing still.
I am ashamed on your behalf. You used “timing” as an excuse and dragged people into hell. You cannot keep hiding behind excuses while ordinary people pay the price. People deserve accountability, honesty, and concrete action not more empty promises.
I genuinely liked you, Tyler, and I truly miss the person you used to be. You were always willing to compromise and open to communication. That’s what made you and Moca so special.
When was the last time you actually engaged with the community? Who have you held a Q&A session with?
You’re no different from a dictator crumbling under the spotlight! You seem increasingly unwilling to face the very people who trusted you and deserve answers.
But sadly, for the past 18 months, you’ve been no different from an ostrich with its head buried in the sand, refusing to face what’s happening.
It genuinely hurts to see how much things have changed. I’m not saying this because I’m against you, but because I remember who you used to be, and I miss that person.

I just swept 40 Minds NFTs. I trust @jesusislord and what he’s building. I’ll continue to support the people I believe in and respect. 💪
I could’ve easily minted @MindGames_AI as an OG and whale Moca NFT holder, but the raffle window to join the whitelist was only 2 hours. Due to IRL stuff and the time zone difference, I missed the opportunity :/
Still, I just swept 10 @MindGames_AI at 50% above mint price to show my support! Like always.
@jesusislord @Mo_Ezz14 @ysiu, I wouldn’t mind a few airdrops 😉

Only 23% of merchants can clearly identify AI-driven traffic and purchases today. If you are in the other 77%, you cannot tell an authorized agent from a bot, so you either block both or accept both. Either way you lose.
The merchants who can tell the difference will take the orders you cannot safely touch.
What to get right before agent traffic scales:
- First, find out how much of your traffic is already agents. Most businesses have genuinely no idea.
- An agent's name is not a permission slip. Knowing who showed up is not the same as knowing what they are allowed to do.
- The agent will claim the member price either way. Whether it applies is your decision, not theirs.
- And test the ugly cases. Expired permissions, a basket that changed mid-checkout, a retry that charges twice. That is usually where implementations die.
We wrote up the full checklist:

AI agents are getting smarter, but can they prove who they represent?
At @token2049 Singapore, we spoke with @tylerdurden88, CEO of @Moca_Network, about AI identity, self-sovereign data, agentic payments, and why digital identity could become critical infrastructure for the AI economy.

"For the early years of the internet, that language was HTML. Now it is an agent to merchant conversation."
That set the tone at our Identity Panel @animocabrands's Portfolio Day, with @Ledger, @airasia Next, @Visa and @vercel , moderated by @tylerdurden88.
- From us: agent identity is a two-sided question. Is this agent here to pay, and who is the customer behind it? Merchants need both to decide how to treat the traffic.
- From Visa: merchants need three things. A trust signature to confirm the agent is legitimate, one-time limit-bound payment credentials, and customer recognition so members keep their perks.
- From AirAsia Next: agents bidding for last-minute seats could fill perishable inventory. The industry is still early though. No revenue lift yet, no loss either, so most merchants are watching and waiting.
- From Vercel: isolation is solved, identity is not. Credentials should sit at the firewall, never inside the agent's sandbox.
- From Ledger: agents handle the small stuff, with human-in-the-loop approval on hardware above a threshold. Proof of assets can also unlock better offers.
For every business, the work starts before the volume arrives. Not blocking agent traffic, but knowing which traffic is agents, verifying who they act for, and rethinking what wins the order when agents buy on criteria rather than brand.
Thanks to all our panelists for a sharp conversation.
