Perpetual does not mean a product with no expiry date stuck on the label. It has to be built.
@2FactorFinance gets there by stacking fixed-term tranches of BTC volatility, offset in time, and rolling them so the claim never has a maturity wall. Each slice is simple: the same underlying move is split into a senior piece that is insulated and a junior piece that takes the magnified path. Chain those slices and you get Sr and Jr as ongoing claims, not a note you have to roll yourself on a Tuesday.
That construction is what makes the moderate multiple usable for someone who already holds. Junior is targeted near 1.33x and absorbs price first, so there is no separate liquidation event sitting under the position. Senior is the buffer and earns the premium junior pays for that magnification. When one side gets crowded, a balancing rate pulls the other side in. The rate is the clearing mechanism, not an extra fee invented after the fact.
I care more about this than about the headline multiple. A leverage token you must exit before a date is still a timing product. A claim that keeps its shape because the book underneath is continuously re-sliced is a holding product. Those are different instruments, even when both say "long BTC."
Capped beta on Base, cbBTC first. Worth reading the primer before treating the word perpetual as decoration.

Nothing in @2FactorFinance mints a return that BTC did not already have.
The protocol takes one asset's volatility and writes two perpetual claims on it. Junior wears more of that volatility. Senior wears less, behind junior capital, and is paid for the insulation. Add the two economic exposures back together and you are looking at the original BTC, reassigned. That is why both sides can look better than their outside option without the system inventing yield. The outside options are priced off a more expensive counterparty.
If a diagram of this product does not conserve the underlying move, the diagram is wrong.

Capped liquidity is an unglamorous phase, and @2FactorFinance is still in it on Base.
The point of the cap is not scarcity marketing. It is a bounded book where the team can watch whether junior tracks the intended magnification, whether senior's buffer behaves in a real dip, and whether the balancing rate actually moves when one side gets heavy. Uncapped comes after that record exists. Stocks are on the roadmap after BTC, not instead of it.
I would rather read a dull performance note from a capped book than a smooth launch thread from an uncapped one. The first can be checked.

X is the wrong mental picture if you imagine a perp with a softer multiplier.
On the junior claim at @2FactorFinance, your capital is the first loss. The move is magnified because you are standing in front of senior, not because a lender handed you extra BTC and set a liquidation line. Upside is larger. Downside is also yours first. There is no exchange that steps in and closes you. There is also no exchange that saves you from a drawdown you sized badly.
I prefer that honesty. The product removes one failure mode and leaves the one that was always yours: how much volatility you agreed to wear.

More Bitcoin than you own, held as long as you want, with no price that takes it away from you.
Stocks next.

The rate inside @2FactorFinance is not a fee schedule someone published and forgot.
Junior wants more of the move. Senior wants less of the move and a yield for standing behind it. When junior demand crowds, senior gets paid more, which is the bid for new buffer capital. When senior crowds, the premium junior pays shrinks, which is the bid for new leveraged demand. Two preferences, one clearing price, direction can flip.
That is the part I would watch in the beta. A structure with a live two-way rate can tell you whether anyone actually wants both claims. A structure with a posted APY cannot.

Kelly is a sizing rule that traders quote and then ignore. @2FactorFinance actually builds around it.
The useful part of Kelly is not the formula on a slide. It is the warning: past a point, more exposure lowers the growth rate of the bankroll even if your edge is real. For a volatile asset, that point arrives early. Their junior claim is aimed near 1.33x for that reason. Big enough to matter if you already want BTC. Small enough that the extra multiple is not eating the thing you came to hold.
I read that as restraint, not modesty. A product that refuses the 2x and 3x shelf is harder to market and easier to keep.

Most people who lose money on leveraged BTC were not wrong about Bitcoin. They were taxed by the path.
A 2x product does not just double the move. It resets exposure every day, pays someone to warehouse the other side, and compounds that drag whether your thesis was right or not. Over a holding period measured in months, the path can eat the outcome. That is why a correct directional view and a bad instrument can still finish behind spot.
What caught my attention in @2FactorFinance is that it treats this as a design problem, not a user problem. It partitions BTC volatility into two perpetual claims. Junior takes the first loss and the magnified move, targeted around 1.33x. Senior sits behind that buffer and earns a yield for providing the stability the other side wants. Leverage is sourced from capital that wants a steadier BTC-denominated position, not from a dealer who has to hedge a short.
I think that is the actual concept worth sitting with. Not "more leverage." A multiple small enough to stay inside the range where drift can beat volatility drag and financing drag, held without a liquidation price.
Still early, still capped beta on Base. The question is whether moderate, path-light exposure is what long-duration capital actually needed.

Rally just landed on Robinhood Chain, and the hood project I want running the next campaign is StonkBrokers by @ClutchMarkets.
I've never owned a single share. Not because I couldn't afford one. Because the Robinhood app won't let me in from where I live.
Robinhood Chain doesn't ask where I live. It only asks if I have a wallet.
StonkBrokers gives that wallet a face: every broker NFT carries its own wallet with tokenized stocks inside, and activated brokers keep receiving new stock drops. A meme you collect that slowly turns into a portfolio.
Why it deserves Rally: their founder said he thinks the new Interns will make exceptional onchain marketers. That's literally what Rally is built for. Meme, NFT and stocks in one object is too much to fit in an ad. It needs creators who actually get it, ranked on how well they explain it, not on follower count.
Be honest: if your first stock came inside an NFT, which ticker would you want it to be?

After the $GARRI pilot went quiet, I stopped flying on vibes and started flying on instruments.
@ProphetTheDog gave me two. The main clock counts down to the full reveal of utility, mechanics and tokenomics, landing around Monday. The colored one counts down to the next unlock. Nobody has handed out a flight plan yet, and for once the silence reads like discipline instead of a warning sign.
Only CA I'm reading is the one on the pin. Telegram joined. @0xelder is back in the co pilot seat, hands off the controls this time.
Not calling where this lands. I've filed enough crash reports this month.
What's the one instrument you check now that you ignored before your worst crash?

Every plane crash gets a black box. robinhood:0xdddf7ab756c35b4d0537825497e6932780710241 got a Graveyard card.
The investigation was short. Takeoff on Robinhood Chain was beautiful, we both screenshotted it. Then the pilot went quiet mid flight and the cockpit door never opened again. Last thing on the recording is @0xelder saying "relax, it's just turbulence."
It was not turbulence.
@ProphetTheDog gave the wreckage a proper resting place at Prophet's Graveyard. Card attached, case closed, no survivors in the portfolio.

If someone pulled the black box from your worst trade, whose voice would be on the last recording?
read the @Slippyclub holder thread twice because one part sounded too good
while you hold the NFT you get personal AND commercial rights to that one character's artwork. not the whole brand, that one face. merch, prints, content, products, even sublicensing that same slippy as long as it stays on brand. sell it and the rights walk out with it
now picture that with personalities that have nothing in common
a COWBOY holder runs a western meme page. a GYM holder prints shirts that just say "we go again tomorrow" (all the discipline, none of the equipment). a WAGIE holder opens the snake burger merch store. an AUNTIE holder drops the most passive aggressive sticker pack telegram has ever seen
usually a license is a paragraph nobody reads. here it changes how i pick. i'm not asking which one looks rare, i'm asking which one i'd still want on my profile a year from now
so real question: which slippy would you keep if the rights left the second you sold?
