Nobody has damaged KL Rahul's image more than Rohit Sharma's fans & his PR. Yes, everyone makes mistakes, but they treated KL Rahul like a criminal for his innings in the 2023 WC final.
The reality is that KL simply lacks a strong PR team. Rohit has failed in 7 T20 WC, yet hardly anyone questions him because his PR knows how to control the narrative and cover up his failures. KL Rahul, has no PR to defend him or justify his performances. That's the difference.

KL Rahul is a much better option than Rohit Sharma when it comes to opening in overseas conditions. I've suggested this idea before yhat KL Rahul can open the innings in overseas conditions.
In South Africa, you won't get 350- or 400-run pitches. Most games are likely to be low-scoring, with totals of around 250โ300 max. In such conditions, we need stability at the top, and KL Rahul can provide that.
The team management needs to rethink its opening combination. Gill and Rohit cannot be our automatic choices when it comes to overseas.
