On the night of October 1, 2017, a twenty-nine-year-old former U.S. Marine named Taylor Winston stole a white Ford F-150 pickup truck in Las Vegas.
By sunrise, that stolen truck had saved thirty human lives.
Winston, an Iraq War veteran, was dancing at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival when automatic rifle fire began raining down from the thirty-second floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel into a crowd of twenty-two thousand people.
After throwing his girlfriend over a fence to safety, Winston ran into the gravel parking lot right next to the kill zone.
Why did he not simply wait for ambulances to arrive? Because police perimeters and twenty thousand fleeing people had gridlocked the Strip, and victims with arterial gunshot wounds were bleeding to death on the grass with minutes left to live.
Winston checked the doors of parked trucks until he found a white four-door Ford F-150 with the keys tucked above the sun visor.
He dropped the steel tailgate, ran back into the gunfire, and used Marine combat triage to load the most critically wounded strangers into the truck bed and cab.
With bullets still cracking overhead, he floored the gas pedal, wove through the chaos to Desert Springs Hospital, handed the victims to emergency doctors, and immediately drove the blood-stained F-150 straight back into the gunfire for a second load.
Across two trips, he delivered roughly thirty critically injured Americans to the hospital in time to survive.
The next morning, Winston tracked down the truck's owner and texted him: "Hey man, I took your truck to drive people to the hospital. How can I give you your keys back?"
The owner told him to keep the peace of mind, and an Arizona dealership gave the Marine a brand-new Ford F-150 of his own.
Uniforms come off when a Marine leaves the Corps. The oath never does.

Israeli-American brothers sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for serial sex trafficking
——
Alon, Oren, and Tal Alexander—three brothers from a prominent Israeli-American family who once dominated high-society real estate and security circles in New York and Miami—were each sentenced to 30 years in federal prison on Tuesday for sex trafficking, conspiracy, and multiple counts of sexual abuse.
Presiding US District Judge Valerie Caproni delivered the sentences in a Manhattan courtroom following an emotional, hours-long hearing where more than a dozen survivors delivered harrowing impact statements detailing years of systemic abuse.
During the five-week trial, federal prosecutors laid out evidence demonstrating how the brothers exploited their immense wealth, high social status, and Israeli-American background ties to lure women to luxury properties—including estates in the Hamptons and international locations such as Tel Aviv—before drugging and violently assaulting them while incapacitated.
While Tal and Oren operated elite luxury real estate brokerages, their twin brother Alon worked as an executive at their family’s security firm, utilizing their network to shield their predatory conduct.
Judge Caproni firmly rejected the defendants' late assertions of innocence and unconvincing appeals for mercy, describing their actions as "monstrous" and likening them to "sadistic, misogynistic sexual predators."
The landmark sentencing marks a dramatic downfall for the brothers, who maintained their defiant stance even as victims confronted them directly in court. Federal prosecutors had pushed for life sentences, citing the profound psychological trauma inflicted upon more than 70 victims who came forward to investigators.

🚨 They erased the Nazi records of war criminals. Then they sent them to Antarctica.
1938: Hitler sends a secret expedition to Antarctica. Germany claims a territory bigger than France and names it New Swabia.
1945: The war ends. Under Operation Paperclip, the US brings in over 1,600 German scientists and quietly scrubs their Nazi files, including men who had used slave labor.
1946: Less than 18 months later, the US Navy launches Operation Highjump. 4,700 men. 13 ships. An aircraft carrier. Destination: Antarctica.
1947: The operation on the ice ends after about 8 weeks. Right after, Admiral Byrd warns in an interview that America must prepare for aircraft flying from pole to pole at incredible speeds.
1959: The US and USSR, at the height of the Cold War, sign a treaty banning all military activity on the continent.
2013: The CIA releases a book from its files about cyclical pole shifts that wipe out civilizations. Parts are still withheld.
Ask yourself:
Why did the Nazis go there first?
Why would two superpowers agree on nothing except this?
What did the Paperclip men know about the Geophysical Event that you still don’t?
The most guarded secret on Earth isn’t a weapon. It’s what lies under the ice: the ruins of a civilization that already lived through the last reset.

🇺🇦 🇺🇲 The confrontation inside Trump's Ukraine peace negotiations is now coming into focus.
Le Monde reports that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner spent nearly three hours pitching Ukraine's presidential chief of staff, Kyrylo Budanov, a postwar economic arrangement built around restoring Russian oil and gas flows to Europe through Ukrainian pipelines.
The meeting took place on October 9 at the Shell Bay golf club in Florida.
Witkoff presented the proposal as a regional prosperity plan: Ukraine would collect transit revenues, Europe would receive cheaper energy, and Russia would regain access to commercial routes disrupted by the war.
Budanov saw something fundamentally different. According to a witness cited by Le Monde, he objected that the arrangement would recreate Ukraine's dependence on Moscow.
“Our model is not Belarus, but Poland!” he reportedly replied.
The meeting was interrupted, and Budanov called Zelensky.
When talks resumed, news arrived that Trump had announced a separate agreement with Putin involving Russian diesel. Le Monde reports that an irritated Witkoff then demanded that the Ukrainians accept the arrangement and stop striking Russian oil refineries, arguing that the attacks endangered the wider world.
A source familiar with the Ukrainian delegation described its members as exceptionally distressed by the encounter.
The account adds a revealing dimension to the commercial negotiations we have been tracking. The proposed Lukoil asset sale, Novatek's involvement in an Alaska LNG venture, the broader US-Russia list of business opportunities reported by the Financial Times, and now the proposed restoration of Russian energy transit through Ukraine all point to the prominence of energy deals in Washington's diplomatic approach.
These are separate proposals, with different participants and legal circumstances. But Le Monde's reporting exposes the strategic disagreement underlying them.
For Witkoff, restoring commercial flows appears to be part of the mechanism for producing a peace settlement. For Budanov, according to the account, those same flows threaten to restore Moscow's economic leverage over Ukraine.
The reported exchange also raises a question about sequencing: why was Kyiv being pressed to stop attacking Russian refineries while Russia continued striking Ukrainian energy infrastructure?
Le Monde's reconstruction relies on accounts of a private meeting. The reported exchanges have not been independently confirmed by the participants.

In the United States, buying an egg salad sandwich from a convenience store or gas station at midnight is a gamble with your digestive system.
In Japan, a two-dollar 7-Eleven egg salad sandwich is a culinary religious experience that late chef Anthony Bourdain famously called pillows of love.
Why does a humble convenience store sandwich in Tokyo taste better than a fifteen-dollar cafe lunch in New York?
It comes down to two obsessions: agricultural engineering and thermal logistics.
First, Japanese convenience chains do not use pale, industrial powdered eggs. They use farm eggs from hens fed marigold-enriched diets that produce deep sunset-orange yolks, whipped with yolk-only Kewpie mayonnaise and tucked inside crustless Shokupan milk bread that is steamed and kneaded to stay cloud-soft.
Second, those sandwiches do not sit on a frigid shelf for four days. Delivery trucks restock Japanese convenience stores three to four times a day using dedicated temperature zones, keeping bread in mildly cooled compartments so refrigerator chill never hardens the wheat starch.
