Defenders SHOULD feel like they have home field advantage. Leadership should support and enable that.

Interesting book where the author recreates the 2,000 mile migration to the West. Reminds of markers like this—from Placerville—that can be found in gold rush towns commemorating the pioneers.

Why are Indian VCs so afraid to take risk and make money? Someone should go to India and take risk and make money. Our story - corememory.com/p/a-new-india…

If you’re a CISO and your response to this week’s attacks is to schedule a budget discussion instead of opening a war room, ngmi.

4/5 Many security projects already have a workaround: an engineer, an existing tool, a manual review, a promise to clean it up later. The buyer can understand the risk and still accept the workaround for another quarter. Another breach headline may change nothing.

5/5 For cybersecurity founders, “attacks are getting worse” is a weak answer to “why buy now?” What makes this customer’s current approach unacceptable? What happens if they wait? A bad week for cybersecurity doesn’t automatically become a good quarter for vendors.

Forget NVIDIA - password managers could become the biggest AI winners 😂
1Password passes $500M in ARR, up from $400M in November 2025, driven by enterprise AI coding assistants and agents, and announces 1Password for Agents (@eschisgall / Wall Street Journal) (Visit Techmeme dot com for the link and full context!)

The cyber situation is total fucking bedlam. This is a sanitized-for-X video of your security and ops teams right now. Give them support and words of benediction.

Lots of VCs kindof sound like this: "Your basketball team doesn't have a moat, any healthy human can throw the ball into the basket thingy. " People who have not run companies before don't understand how much the team matters more than some imagined structural moat.

Biswa was my 8th hire at @bitzermobile .. no wonder we all ended at @Oracle 😂😂
Zakir Khan was a radio jockey earning ₹12,000/month. Biswa Kalyan Rath was a software engineer at Oracle. Bhuvan Bam was making videos in his bedroom with a phone. All started with little to no money. Today? Multi-crore net worth. Sold-out shows. Brand deals. Here's what they did that most salaried people DON'T: 1. They Didn't Stop at Salary Zakir didn't quit radio and sit idle. He performed at open mics. Built audience. Created side income. Lesson: Your 9-5 pays bills. Your side hustle builds wealth. 2. They Invested in Skills, Not Just Comfort Biswa could've stayed comfortable at Oracle. Instead: Learned comedy. Practiced. Failed. Improved. Your salary grows when your skills grow. Most people get comfortable. High earners get better. 3. They Saved Before They Spent Bhuvan shot videos in his bedroom with a basic phone. Could've waited for "perfect setup." Fancy camera. Studio. Didn't. Started with what he had. Invested earnings back into growth. Save 20-30% FIRST. Spend the rest. Not the other way around. 4. They Built Assets That Compound Creators build: 1. YouTube channels (views = passive income) 2. Social media (sponsorships) 3. Recorded content (royalties) You can build: 1. SIPs (equity growth) 2. Freelance clients (recurring income) 3. Skills (higher salary) Create things that grow WITHOUT you working more. 5. They Thought Long-Term Zakir's first show? Barely 20 people showed up. He didn't quit. Kept going. 10 years later? Sold-out arenas. Wealth needs 10+ years of consistency. Not quick money. Compounding money. The Pattern: Radio jockey → ₹12K/month → Multi-crore comedian Software engineer → ₹6L/year → Netflix specials + brand deals Bedroom creator → Zero budget → 25M+ followers + production house It wasn't luck. It was: ✅ Save first ✅ Build side income ✅ Invest in skills ✅ Create compounding assets ✅ Stay consistent 10+ years You Don't Need to Be a Creator But you CAN apply the same principles: Salary → Save 20-30% → Invest in SIPs → Build side income → Improve skills → Give it 10 years That's how salaried people become wealthy. Earning salary is good. Building wealth needs smart habits. Start today. Not "someday."

Having a train that takes you directly to the airport is genuinely one of the top 10 things a city can offer. No expensive taxis, no sitting in traffic, no begging someone to drop you off. Just get on the train and arrive at the airport. Every major city should have this.

Cell phone addiction is an absolute thermonuke to the brain and nobody 'takes it seriously' because it is not clear that there is any solution in a world where the revealed preference of everyone across the globe, regardless of income, race, age, any factor whatsoever, would rather be on their phone than do *anything* else. Deciding "I use this too much" and meaningfully altering one's behaviour doesn't seem to have much success for any of the very small minority of people with the sentience or self-reflection to realize how bad it is. Most people seem to think of it as an unproductive habit at most, rather than an addiction. Any attempt to speak seriously about this is met with derision, accusations of pretentiousness. There is no real solution to it. The future of human cognition fifty years down the line is horrifying if you stop and think about it for even a moment.

Wow..
Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon! It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix. Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher. Looks like an Apple TV now lol

BREAKING: Wright Brothers staged demo of "airplane" ends after only 800 feet. Rigged setup included ideal wind, hand-picked sand dune. Payload: one bone skinny pilot, lying face down. No cargo. No passengers. No revenue model. Call me when it can carry a sack of mail to Ohio. Until then it's a gimmick with propellers that no one will buy.
