**🇨🇩 DRC: 😭😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔 TEARS AND SORROW! THE BRUTALITY INFLICTED ON THIS ONE-AND-A-HALF-YEAR-OLD CHILD IS BEYOND HUMANITY. THIS IS NOT HUMANITY; IT IS PURE BARBARITY! I HAVE NO WORDS TO EXPRESS MY PAIN. TEARS ARE THE ONLY ANSWER!** There are videos that leave a person speechless, where tears become the only way to express the pain. This is one of those videos. Anyone who sees this one-and-a-half-year-old child cannot help but feel overwhelming sorrow and compassion. This is a child who should have been in the arms of his parents, playing with them, being cared for, protected and given love. But after his parents were killed by FDLR and Wazalendo fighters, he was left facing a life full of suffering and cruelty inflicted on him by one of those who killed his parents simply because they were Tutsi. What makes this even more heartbreaking is what is being done to this child in the video. What has this innocent child done to become a victim of the violence of adults? What crime has he committed to be deprived of the love, protection and security that every child deserves? This is one of the many examples of the suffering and brutality that civilians continue to endure in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), while Félix Tshisekedi’s government continues to face criticism for failing to protect the lives of its citizens. Today, it is not only children who are in danger. Men, women, young people, elderly men and elderly women are all crying out for help. Some have lost their parents, others their children, and others their spouses. Many have been left with nowhere to flee and no one to turn to for protection. **What is even more heartbreaking and terrifying is that those who commit these atrocities photograph and film themselves carrying out these acts, and then receive praise and applause for their brutality! Can a human being really sink so low as to celebrate torture inflicted on an innocent child? What kind of humanity remains in those who applaud such acts?** Will the world continue to watch as children in Congo cry, suffer and are killed, without anyone coming to their rescue? When will a child’s life have value again in the DRC? Who will stand up to protect these innocent and defenceless children? This child is not the only one who deserves justice. He represents the voices of countless children who have become victims of war and violence. **WORLD, STOP REMAINING SILENT!
