A consistent AU on this account will be one based on L change the world, but light is still alive and he and L are raising Maki and Near together Okay? Okay!!

I saw someone say that Netflix adaptation looks like he’s trying to hard to look like a ninja And dare I say that seems purposeful. Regular L wore comfortable clothes no matter how lame and unacceptable it seemed. It was done out of indifference and was made to be a habit (1/2)

But this L is the opposite. He’s not indifferent, he wants to be right, to win, to be seen as smart and capable. So he overdresses, he tries to look cool. But it never seems right. He just looks like a kid playing dress up

Anyone wanna read a thread on how the different versions of L use physical closeness to intimidate or establish some form of dominance over Light?

A fit. So while this is a method to get Light to backdown and feel intimidated, it doesn’t work. Because this L is not cold and calculated, he works almost purely off of emotions. It’s one of the main reasons he failed the investigation.
