Some of the players have been nice enough to chime in on some of our posts about the 1988 @Mets & the message I received was if Randall K Myers comes in for the 9th in Game 4 #Mets never go back to @Dodgers Stadium & then steamroll the @Athletics in WS. All the recent championship experience from 1986 , most guys could steal a base, POWER, SP galore & good pen…. Straw & Mcreynolds were top 5 in MVP and despite what happened in the future Gregg Jefferies was one of 10 best @MLB players at THAT MOMENT in fall of 1988. @20Hojo had a hurt shoulder so “only” 24HR that season. Losing Bobby Ojeda was big because he was a CALMING influence for that group. Big game pitcher that seemed to come up big when needed most.

Hojo, as someone who played SS, how do you feel about the overturned DP? This used to be an automatic out in the day, aka neighborhood play.
