Elon Musk says “robot RAM needs will exceed everything else on Earth” and believes superintelligence will eventually drive even more demand through deep space compute. To put that into perspective $TSLA producing 10M Optimus robots a year would require ~720 petabytes of memory at 72GB per robot. Pretty wild for $MU and $SKHY as AI expands beyond data centers although robots use LPDDR rather than HBM so this could become a much bigger volume story.

Amazon $AMZN CEO Andy Jassy said Amazon Web Services is largely sold out for 2027 "26 is obviously at this point sold out. '27 is largely sold out. We always leave a certain amount for on demand in our inference service Bedrock or EC2, but largely sold out. All the big chunks. A good chunk of '28 is sold out."
AMAZON $AMZN CEO ANDY JASSY SAYS AWS IS SOLD OUT FOR 2026 AND LARGELY SOLD OUT FOR 2027 And a good chunk of 2028 is already gone too "'26 is obviously at this point sold out. '27 is largely sold out. We always leave a certain amount for on demand in our inference service Bedrock or EC2, but largely sold out. All the big chunks. A good chunk of '28 is sold out." He said that's why Amazon can invest a lot more in capacity without it being a bad use of capital. "There's only so much data center and power today. There's only so much memory, and I don't think that shortage ends in 2027." He said both AWS's AI business and its core non-AI business are "growing at really rapid rates right now," which forces tough calls on how much memory goes to AI chips versus everything else. "These are real trade-offs you have to make."

Semiconductor prices are skyrocketing in the US: Producer prices for semiconductor and other electronic component manufacturing surged +26% YoY in September, their 4th-largest increase on record. This also marks their 6th consecutive YoY increase of at least +25%. Since July 2025, the Producer Price Index for semiconductor and other electronic component manufacturing has risen +31%, to its 2nd-highest level since January 2007. To put this into perspective, the index declined every year from 1994 to 2021. Meanwhile, producer prices for electronic components and accessories soared +27% YoY last month, also marking their 6th consecutive YoY increase of at least +25%. The AI Revolution is driving historic technology inflation.

This is the worst environment to invest in. The KOSPI gets wiped out every night because everyone is leveraged. Trump bombs Iran out of nowhere every other day. Headlines move the whole market before you can react. We are lucky that every company is putting up record earnings. The AI trade is real, and that is what’s keeping this market alive. Terrible backdrop, great earnings. Stay patient and don't overtrade.

What concerns me most about this market is that the S&P 500 is almost at an all-time high, yet so many individual stocks have already suffered massive sell-offs. Look at what’s happened to the neoclouds and other AI stocks. Even semiconductors have been hit hard. If this much damage has happened while the index has barely dropped, what happens if the broader market starts selling off? We could see some of these high-beta stocks fall another 20–30%. That’s what worries me. A lot of retail investors could struggle to recover from that. Especially those who’ve borrowed money or keep buying the dip in companies simply because they’ve fallen a lot. The main thing I’m watching is oil. Brent touched $110 last week because of the situation in the Middle East. The longer this war in Iran continues, the longer we risk keeping oil prices and inflation high. That’s what creates more uncertainty around interest rates. So investors are reacting to every negative headline. You can have a company doing everything right, but its shares still get sold off because of something happening on the other side of the world. Then we have two elections coming up. One in Israel and the midterms in America. Let’s be real, both governments want something they can point to as a win before people vote. I think that’s a sad reflection of the world we live in. People are struggling to afford the basics, but so much of politics seems to revolve around how to win the next election. My fear is what happens after the midterms. Trump won’t have another presidential election to fight. He’ll still have limits on what he can do, but I worry about what decisions he might make over those final two years without that same election pressure. Meanwhile, the companies are still delivering. Meta just grew revenue 26%. SpaceX reported revenue growth of 161%. Those results helped their shares, but they haven’t removed the uncertainty hanging over the rest of the market. I expect more strong earnings this season, but earnings alone can’t settle what’s happening in Iran or where interest rates go next. Honestly, if I were a new investor starting today, I’d probably be tempted to wait this out. Every day feels like another disaster is about to happen. But we’ve been through a lot this year, and we’ve managed to recover before. I believe we’ll recover again. I just don’t know how long it will take. It may take longer than usual. Long term, the amount of money that’s going to be spent on AI is astronomical. We’re talking about trillions of dollars. McKinsey estimates $5.2 trillion of investment in data centres by 2030 just to meet AI demand. This is one of the biggest infrastructure investments we’ve ever seen. We’re in a transition period. I believe AI is going to replace a huge amount of the work people do today, and the impact could be bigger than the internet. Just look at how quickly ChatGPT and Claude are advancing. Anthropic says that by May, Claude was already writing over 80% of the code being added to its production codebase. Before Claude Code launched in February last year, that figure was in the low single digits. Think about how much has changed in that short space of time. That’s why my long-term view on my AI investments hasn’t changed. Short term, though, I’m very concerned. But I’ve never been able to time the market consistently. I could sell today and end up buying back higher while still worrying about the same headlines. So I’m going to stay invested. I still believe in the companies I own, even if holding them through this market is exhausting.

The value of Terafab’s output will place it in the top 20 of country GDP in a single building
According to Korean media, Elon Musk's Terafab is now talking to almost EVERY Korean chip supplier it can find. Until now, the only known Korean suppliers were HPSP and Hanmi Semiconductor. Now TheElec reports that Tesla and SpaceX are in talks across nearly every category Korean companies can supply, from basic piping parts to process materials to test components. At SEMICON West in San Francisco last week, Terafab staff walked straight to around 10 Korean booths on the morning of day one, including ENF Technology, Dongjin Semichem, Hanmi Semiconductor, Unisem and MiCo. Several companies have already signed NDAs. One got an NDA by email the same evening Terafab visited its booth. Hanmi Semiconductor is discussing TC bonders for Terafab, and HPSP has agreed to supply one high pressure hydrogen annealing tool to the R&D line. MiCo's cleaning unit Komico signed a three way NDA with Tesla and SpaceX about a month ago, and ISC is already swapping samples for rubber test sockets. Tesla and SpaceX do not buy from Chinese suppliers. One Korean supplier put it simply, without China there are only a few options, and Japan is expensive. They also want prices that are CHEAPER than China. $LRCX and $AMAT have reportedly built dedicated Terafab teams, and Fujifilm is meeting Terafab buyers regularly on slurries, photoresist and etchants. The goal is a fab with 1 million wafer starts per month within 10 years, with $16.8 billion of initial investment and more than 3,000 jobs. SpaceX broke ground in Grimes County, Texas this month, and the first 100,000 wafer per month phase is expected before 2030. Logic is being done with $INTC, talks with $TSM are ongoing, and memory will be built separately. One supplier said that if they email Terafab in the middle of the night in the United States, they get an answer in 30 minutes to an hour. $TSLA and $SPCX are building a chip supply chain at Elon speed.

With $SKHY earnings about 8 days away, i'm officially starting to accumulate here. the disconnect between the stock price and the actual business is just wild look at what they reported in their last earnings: revenue hit KRW 79.3 trillion that’s up 51% in a single quarter and up 257% year over year. operating income was KRW 60.5 trillion, which comes out to an insane 76% operating margin and an 81% EBITDA margin on top of that, net cash expanded to KRW 69.4 trillion, and their debt to equity ratio dropped down to just 7% they have essentially zero debt risk, near 80% margins and are sitting on mountains of cash and if you actually read the transcript, the demand runway is absurd: • enterprise SSD sales doubled in 90 days, and solidigm’s 30TB+ drives grew more than 3x because AI models are forced to offload KV cache straight onto NAND. • HBM4 mass production started in Q2 and is ramping hard right now, with HBM4E volume production starting in 2027. • they have already signed 5 year fixed contracts with around 10 major customers, backed by upfront cash deposits. • management explicitly confirmed on the call that supply physically cannot catch up with customer demand until at least 2028. every single quarter, they crush estimates by a massive percentage, raise the forward guidance and confirm that hyperscalers are begging for more allocation and yet, the stock has been dumped nearly 60% from its highs to trade under 4x forward earnings how the fuck is this not an incredible setup? my memory thesis has been dead clear from day one i already hold a massive position in $MU and $DRAM and adding $SKHY right here completes the entire trade seriously, prove me wrong tell me why buying the global leader in HBM at a 3.9x multiple with 76% operating margins isn’t an absolute steal.
