Frankfurt, 29 October 2026 — Following Christine Lagarde's official resignation from the ECB, the OG Bitcoin Marketing Team has announced that it, too, will be leaving the building.
The team, consisting of Lagarde, Former United States Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, the former Fed chair Jerome Powell, and the BIS heavyweight Agustin Carstens, has spent years promoting the wonders of fiat money, monetary intervention, and the occasional trillion-dollar rescue operation.
After careful consideration, the team has decided to pursue new opportunities in financial damage control.
Rumours of a career change had been circulating for some time, with the World Economic Forum reportedly being considered as a potential destination. Other options may include explaining inflation to the public or reassuring everyone that the banking system is perfectly fine.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s irresponsible to not own bitcoin.
First, companies will say, “We accept bitcoin.”
Then, they’ll say, “We only accept bitcoin.”
Then people will not value dollars or fiat, and there will be a run on the banks.
Eventually, the world will never be the same.
The individuals and companies that are ready for the seismic shift will come out ahead.
Those that are left holding legacy currency will not.
