I wonder when the Bible belt will start to hail Christa Pike as the messiah or a messenger from god due to the fact that she survived the attempts execution
Listening to @TomSwarbrick1 on @LBC this afternoon discuss funded childcare and York’s trial to get children potty trained before school was fascinating. It raises some very interesting points. IMO is everyone should receive that 30 hours in the same way school is free for all….
we were just left to fend for ourselves. Parents from all Socioeconomic backgrounds need more support and guidance from professionals from much earlier on…

New PISA data out- and a huge success story. England is now a top-10 education system in the world. Outside of Asia, one of the highest.
New PISA 2025 results:
Science: 8th in the world, up from 13th
Reading: 9th, up from 13th
Maths: 10th, up from 11th.
While much of the OECD has gone backwards, England has has held its ground while most of the world has gone backwards. Huge achievement by school staff.

Absolute monsters trying to force a child to be restrained. Why can’t they just let them stand up? Did they offer them an alternative seat made from a different material? news.sky.com/story/flight-ca…
Labours proposed changes to introduce more technical/vocational options for children at 14 is going to inadvertently create a 2 strand secondary education system

If that’s actually gets off the ground within a decade we will have technical and academic secondary schools and as such children will be making a decision about what route they want to take at 11. The DfE will claim there is no difference as all schools will offer both routes..
If only there was a school or even a few schools who were trying to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged students in Devon and Cornwall bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c39e…
If not being allowed to go to the toilet for 15 minutes amounts to abuse can someone report the airlines who don’t let me go at the start of the flight (often for more than 15mins) and also have me physically restrained
Spicy take of the week - Telling children they have SEND is the modern day version of making a child wear a dunces hat

..In my opinion what the system actually needs is a reform of what the core GCSEs look like. English and maths should be functional and strip out all the content that’s not of daily use to most (who needs to be able to factories quadratics?)..
It’s this time of year when up and down the country tears are shed because children are leaving school and every year I hear people say “it’s so sad that they are leaving”. I think we need to reframe the mindset it’s not sad they are leaving school, leaving is the whole point..
