Troy, your sister-in-law (L.) and her boyfriend are very special people. It was not a coincidence we could say hello and speak of our Savior Jesus Christ this weekend. His atoning love is infinite and eternal.

The Book of Mormon is a great witness that the Lord loves all people and reaches out to all, everywhere.
The Book of Mormon adds to our knowledge of how our Savior’s earthly ministry reached out to all of His scattered flock.
Book of Mormon teachings contradict the erroneous assertion that the grace of God saves only a chosen few.
The Book of Mormon teaches that our Savior "inviteth ... all to come unto him" (2 Nephi 26:33). His grace is for all.
Similarly, the Book of Mormon tells us that the children of God in “every nation” have His promise that He “manifesteth himself unto all those who believe in him, by the power of the Holy Ghost” (2 Nephi 26:13).
These promises from the Book of Mormon are true.
I call upon all to act on these truths and to share them with others, that we may all draw closer to Jesus Christ, our Savior.
“BYU will become the great university of the Lord. Not in the world‘s way, but in the Lord‘s way.”

On Sunday, October 18, 2026, Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles dedicated the Managua Nicaragua Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, marking a historic milestone for the Central American nation and its people.
During the dedicatory service, Elder @RonaldARasband expressed gratitude for Jesus Christ, the Restoration of the gospel, and the blessings the temple will bring to Nicaragua and its people.
“We recognize [God´s] hand in establishing the gospel in this land,” said Elder Rasband.
“May it flourish as the Saints hold fast to their covenants and live so that others are drawn to the Church by their Christ-like lives. May the spirit of the temple bring peace to this land and all who live here.”

None of us is untouched by the challenges of the world around us.
We live in a time of conflict, displacement, uncertainty, and division. In such a world, my mind often returns to one of the simplest and most powerful teachings of Jesus Christ:
“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9).

All of us can receive divine direction for our lives.
If you are doing your best to honor the covenants you have made with your Heavenly Father, you can act in faith knowing that you will receive His guidance in your life.
I was pleased to share my thoughts on this during a conversation with the director of social media for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during my time at BYU-Idaho last week.

The world’s great religious, philosophical, and ethical traditions have guided human civilization and society for millennia. We need that wisdom and those values to anchor AI today.
Because many individuals now ask AI about faith, religion, and belief, it is in the common good that AI answer such questions accurately, honestly, and respectfully.
As I spoke on AI for the common good at the G20 Interfaith Forum held in Salt Lake City yesterday, I suggested that we will not fulfill our responsibility until we understand that we, and not any technology, must shape our best future.
My great hope is that AI with strong moral compass will contribute to the gift of possibility where anyone everywhere can become their best self and change the world for good.

One of the great blessings of dedicated temples is the promise of closer communion with Heavenly Father, the Savior, and those we love who are in the spirit world.
I am grateful and honored to have been asked by President Dallin H. Oaks to dedicate the beautiful and sacred Montpelier Idaho Temple.
Temples are evidence that God is a God of covenants and that His plan reaches beyond mortality into eternity. The temple provides purpose for our lives. It brings peace to our souls. It allows us to reach through the veil of death and across generations to allow the Lord to unite families in the joy of eternal life.
My prayer is that we may feel, in the house of God, Heavenly Father's love for His children and of His desire to bring us back into His presence.

All that we do in the temple is tied directly to the Lord Jesus Christ. Here we can become more holy, more like the Savior.
As a new Apostle of the Lord in 2017, I was grateful to visit this wonderful country. Sister Rasband and I were overjoyed to return this weekend as I fulfilled an assignment from the First Presidency to dedicate the Managua Nicaragua Temple.
Attending the temple is a deeply personal experience. One by one we present ourselves at the entrance and are invited into the Lord’s house.
One by one we receive ordinances and make covenants. One by one we may feel lifted, reminded, and renewed in our spiritual journey, receiving greater hope, and strength from the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Go often to the temple, let its light bless your whole life.
As an Apostle of Jesus Christ called to testify of Him and His name in all the world, I bear my solemn witness that He lives, and is directing the work of the ongoing Restoration.
Stay close to Him, and show your love by spending time in His hallowed house.

A Mis Queridos Amigos Hispanos: Hispanic youth in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have a critical role ahead of them in building the future of the Lord’s Church.
I recently spoke with a congregation of predominantly Hispanic youth in the United States Central Area. The broadcast originated with 500 youth in Chicago, but was broadcast to over 2,000 youth across the entire area.
My message included a direct invitation in both Spanish and English for these young people to prepare to serve missions and prepare to receive further education.
During our time together, I asked two future missionaries to join me at the pulpit. I gave them each my contact card, invited both to email me directly once their mission papers were submitted, and promised that I would look for their names during my turn to assign missionaries in the future.
I felt deeply impressed that the Lord knows His children individually, and that He wants all to fully participate in these foundational experiences in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I shared an apostolic invitation and promised blessings from serving missions and pursuing education. These invitations are for the youth across the entire Church, but it felt significant to emphasize them in these communities at this important time of the Church.
We love you President Christofferson! @ChristoffDTodd

The Book of Mormon takes place in the ancient Americas and, like the Bible, was written by Jesus Christ's followers. It teaches His gospel and testifies of Him. As you live the teachings found in the Book of Mormon, you can find peace and truth.
