This photo was taken by Rinat Even (44) as she and her husband Chen and their four sons tried to hide in the bushes near their Be’eri home on Oct. 7. Shortly after, the parents and two eldest kids, Alon, 16, and Ido, 14, were shot dead.
The youngest two, aged 11 and 8, survived by playing dead, then finding refuge with an aunt.
We will never forget.

Today marked 82 years since Jewish heroine Hannah Szenes was executed after being captured by the Nazis. She was sent on a secret mission to rescue Jews from Hungary, was arrested at the border, and was repeatedly tortured for several months prior to her execution. She was only 23 years old.
Throughout her short but heroic life, Hannah kept a diary and wrote poetry, which is widely acclaimed to this day. Szenes is a national heroine in Israel for her courage, poetry, and devotion to her country.
May her memory and legacy be a blessing. 🕯

After 1948, 850,000 Jews were expelled from Arab countries, stripped of citizenship, property, and rights. Israel absorbed them, granted citizenship, and integrated them.
Arab states largely denied Palestinians the same, leaving generations in camps under UNRWA’s unique inherited refugee status.
Israel solved its refugee crisis in one generation. Arab states chose not to solve theirs. Palestinians are still paying the price for that decision.

Russia’s ballistic campaign against Ukraine continues, and unfortunately, because of the shortage of Patriot missiles, there have been significant hits. Today, Ukraine is generating more electricity than it consumes. But because Russia is striking substations and power grids, we are seeing significant shortages in Kyiv and other regions.
The Russians are striking bridges across the Dnipro – from Kyiv all the way to Zaporizhzhia. During the night leading into today, the Kyiv Northern Bridge was hit. Six ballistic missiles were fired at the bridge, and four struck it.
Our country will be represented in several formats in November that can bring Ukraine greater strength: the G7, the Coalition of the Willing, and Ramstein. We are working to make each of these formats as productive as possible. And the results must focus first and foremost on air defenses and energy.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier delivered a clear message against antisemitism, including a warning that Jew-hatred is increasingly disguised as criticism of Israel.
Legitimate criticism of Israeli government policies is not hatred, but trying to deny the Jewish people’s right to self-determination and Israel’s right to exist is.
