The Bears probably overpaid for Simmons, but I would totally respect my GM going all out and trying to get a Super Bowl for the city.

I don’t think Brad Holmes’ day to day operations change around the trade deadline. I think he sits there and looks for WRs he can find in the 5th round next year.

Niners and Seahawks have clearly shown they’re willing to make moves to win a Super Bowl. Lions will do nothing at the deadline. Clearly we have different goals…

And the Detroit Lions continue to sit on their hands. What’s new?

NFL trade notes, per sources: • #Chargers have been hesitant to trade players for now. • #Steelers looking for WR/CB help. • #Vikings in the OL/DL market. • #Giants are looking for RB/DT. • #Bears remain active on the defensive side. • #Browns are “less likely” to move WR Jerry Jeudy at the moment.

James Conner should absolutely be acquired by the Lions. Petzing had him playing well last year and he’d be a veteran RB to take a lot of pressure off of Gibbs.
