Hey there👋🏽
Happy to officially announce the official X account for @32BJSEIU's MA and RI districts — home to over 20,000 members including cleaners, security officers, facilities and airport workers, amongst others. Follow us for the latest updates and activities!
TODAY🚨
We were able to hold our first RALLY at Boston Logan Airport. Cabin cleaners, custodians, baggage cleaners, skycaps—you name it. All asking for the same thing: a healthcare standard NOW for all workers at the airport.
🚨TODAY🚨
MIT facilities workers have had enough.
Today, we’re taking a strike vote. Unless MIT comes to the table, ready to meaningfully meet our demands, workers are preparing to strike and show admin who really keeps MIT running!
@MIT facilities workers marched around campus with a resound message: we’re ready to strike, is MIT?
Whether you're an electrician or a PhD candidate, you are deserving of just and fair union contract.
Proud to stand alongside our union siblings at the @MITGradUnion for the following editorial for the @CambridgeDay on the eve of our strike vote.

TODAY 🚨
Security members, alongside allies like @MarjorieDecker, @edufreedomproj, @AmalgamatedBank, and other union members held a rally near Post Office Square culminating in a boisterous march through the financial district during rush hour!
Standing up right now for @MassGovernor Maura Healey in front of @wbz with @afscme93, @IBEW103, @IAM_Union and the App Drivers Union before tonight’s gubernatorial debate!
On the ground today in Dorchester to support @maura_healey and @KimDriscollMA for four more years in Massachusetts.
Airport workers need a champion who will fight for them as they continue advocating for healthcare and a new contract. And we know Healey will fight for just that!
“Who’s got the power?” facilities workers @MIT got the power, joined by undergrads and the @MITGradUnion, as they marched to President Kornbluth’s office to deliver a petition signed by nearly 1,000 community supporters for a fair contract now!
“MIT needs to be a place that puts students, staff, and researchers first, and not the profit motive,” said @MITGradUnion representative Lauren Chau. If we all don’t get it, we’ll shut it down — together.
One page of the signatures on the petition delivered this afternoon demanding a fair wage increase, decreased healthcare premiums and protections for immigrant workers
THIS AFTERNOON 🚨
Committee members, fellow workers, and allies convened in front of Boston University’s Agannis Center for a press conference as they kick off bargaining for their newest contract 💪🏻
Thank you, Rep. @MarjorieDecker for standing today with Greater Boston security officers rallying for good healthcare in their contract outside @Northeastern, where Northeast Security Inc. subsidizes their profits by forcing those who protect the university to take public plans.
